Different (A Matt Hunter Fanfiction)

Ready to Party.

Friday Morning I slept in 'till noon.

I couldn't sleep all night because of Joseph.

His words haunted my slumber.

"Alice, don't judge a book by it's cover..."

He knows I'm too familiar with people like Matthew. Why would he even bring them up?

I quickly shook those thoughts out of my head.

Joseph and I had never fought. Yeah that's hard to believe, but him and I have this chemistry that is all good, sometimes I feel like its too good to be true. He tells me everything and I trust him.

I get out of bed. My eyes were swollen just a bit. I had on my gray skinny sweats and a red tank top. I brushed my hair up into a messy pony tail.

I went into the kitchen to heat up water so that I could have tea. While it boils I receive a text from Karina.

From Kari:
Hey bby can Joe and I come over in an hour?

I smile at the thought of having my best friends over.

To Kari:
Yes but you have to bring me food lol

I texted back and walked over to the stove and took the boiling water off the stove and poured it into my mug. I pulled out a packet of Passion tea and placed it into my steaming water. The translucent water turned into a deep violet slowly, and then all at once.

I blew on it a little before taking a small sip.

I heard my phone my phone ring I pick it up to see a text from Karina saying "Kay".

I smile and finish my tea. Glancing at the clock that read 12:36 pm.

I put on my black vans and waited for their arrival on the couch.

Soon I find myself opening the door for Kari and Joe who both hug me as the enter.

"I'm sorry about last night." He says and I just nod my head.

He understands me and knows how prideful I am. I'm not one to apologize, even if I knew I was wrong. I am also very stubborn.

Karin opens the plastic bag, and there is an animal style In-n-Out burger and animal style fries.

"Yaasss Kari!" I clap and laugh. Joe hands me my strawberry lemonade. "So, are you still planning on going to Jasmine's party?" Joes blue eyes trace my lips then to my eyes. "Duh." I smirk. "I have no idea what I'm going to wear." Karinasaid and then stole a French Fry. "Whatever you chose, I'm sure you'll look beautiful." Joe smile at her. I was confused a bit. But it didn't concern me. "You can borrow some of my clothes if you want. And you can stay with me to get ready." I smile. "Okay thanks I really need help."

We hung out until 4:00, then Joe left.

Kari and I spent the rest of the day preparing for the party.

Karina wore a black sleeveless crop top, a black skater skirt, she tied a plaid shirt around her waist and put on black docs of course. She wore natural looking eye makeup with dark lips and her hair was straight.

I wore a red bodycon dress and my favourite leather jacket. I wore black wedges. For makeup, I went with a black smokey eye and deep red lipstick. I curled my red hair into waves.

I grabbed my small black purse and placed my lighter and cigarettes in. I also packed my canteen with vodka. Karina gathered her things and we were out.

9:58 pm.

The party started out great.

Joe met Karina and I at the party and we hung out and danced for about an hour and a half.

But we slowly split up.

Now its about almost midnight.

The loud electronic music played.

The pounding bass.

The sweaty bodies.

The smell of alcohol.

People yelling.

Young teens passed out.

I was searching for Joe and Kari.

I looked all downstairs.

It was when I traveled upstairs that I found them.
