Spot on.
Always accurate, the radio forecast this morning was not lying.
Today of all the days was the first rainfall of June.
Up above, the depressing grey storm clouds rolled and swelled covering the beautiful blue sky and blocking out the warm rays of the sun. Not contended those same clouds spitted each drop of rain down towards the ground while making pit-a-pat sounds on Vida’s black umbrella. Treacherous puddles formed at irregular intervals along the sidewalk, and students like her who’s on their way to the same school had to weave their way in and out as to not get their feet wet.
Vida stopped short and leisurely tried to look up ahead while people around her frantically tried to escape the rain because they were irresponsible and did not even bother to know the weather this morning.
Vida’s eyes followed and focus on a rolling light gray cloud from afar as her mind worked at its best.
“Rain is a type of precipitation a product of the condensation of atmospheric water vapor that is deposited on the earth's surface and turn into water droplets to form clouds. Clouds that reach a level of condensation and a certain point of saturation which results to rain fall.” Vida muttered to herself as she ended with a long sigh.
Nerds just like her just had to do it. This certain urge to obnoxiously purport an expansive comprehension on a certain topic… because she wants to… because she needs to.
Vida straightened out her classy well knitted cardigan in contrast to some of the students who were wearing jackets and hoodies in variety colors as she headed straight for the front gate. Today she arranged her hair in a tight French twist without a loose hair in sight. Her hands neatly tucked her ID that hung on her neck in place, making it sure that the guard would see the front while she waited patiently on the line.
Today was the first day of classes, though she couldn’t express it well, unlike others today was exciting to her tantamount to other students desire to go on vacation. Today nothing excited her more than a year for pure scholarly pursuit.
She sighed heartily at the thought of finally flipping the pages of her newly bought book in class which she read beforehand during summer but her thoughts were stopped suddenly when she felt someone pulling her umbrella to the side.
“Excuse me. Pasukob Miss Beautiful.”
Vida nonchalantly looked above her shoulders to see who the intruder was and immediately locked gaze with him.
