Walang ganang sinundan ng tingin ni Vida ang nakagatan nang ensaymadang hawak ni Hezekiah habang tinitignan nito ang tinuran. Vida saw him by chance when she decided to buy something to eat. Recess noon at madaming kumpulan ng mga estudyante sa mga hallway, playground, sa mga benches, sa catwalk at lalo na sa cafeteria.

Hezekiah was pertaining to a group of girls who seemed to have a territorial claim on one of the tables the open cafeteria had. The "queen bee" situated at the center was what Hezekiah tried to tell her.

"Bakit naman?"

"Look at her. Just look."

Vida complied and studied the queen bee specimen with no gusto. The Queen had this slow tilting of the head thing going on and that pouty red smile that came along with her full make-up look. Her glittered tip hand decorated with arm candies flicked and ran through her tousled fringes and hair like it was some ritual that needed to be done every 5 minutes.

"She's not complying to school rules. She needs to be reported." Vida said while mentally running through the schools guidelines and the sanction for disregard of such rules.

"Wow." Hezekiah turned at her while looking all amused at her and at what she said. "Chronos must be really out of his mind being able to like you."

"What's that supposed to mean?"

This prick Hezekiah was clearly trying to point out that she didn't have any girly charms at all enough to make someone like her.

Sasagot na sana si Hezekiah ngunit biglang parang may mala-pangalawang anino na sumulpot sa likuran nito. A hand emerged in no time above Hezekiah's shoulder with a powerful grip enough to make a crease on Hezekiah's well ironed polo uniform.

"Happy ata kayo." Sabi lang ni Chronos at plastic na ngumiti sa kanilang dalawa ni Hezekiah at Vida. Somehow that fake smile he had on was enough to make Vida guilty over nothing. Pakiramdam ni Vida may ginawa siyang kasalanan.

Hezekiah pried his shoulders free and smoothed it nonchalantly while leaving a wink at Vida as he walked out on his way.

Now only Vida was left to explain.

Chronos stood infront of her waiting for any kind of explaination. His arms that were folded on his chest made it harder for her to explain something trivial.

"Sabi ni Hezekiah gayahin ko daw sila."

Kunot-noong sinundan ng tingin ni Chronos ang tinuro ni Vida.

"Alin?" He couldn't pinpoint the exact location since there were so many students so Vida had to grab his chin and direct it. Nakita ni Vida na lalong kumunot ang kunot nang noo ni Chronos sa nakita nito. He clearly didn't like what he was seing.

"Gayahin mo daw sila?! What a weird fetish for someone like Hezekiah. Siguro makakatuluyan noon mahilig sa make-up." His sentences not well thought of and plainly out of opinion.

There were boys who wanted girls in all glitter and glamour but there are few like him who must like plain girls like her.

Vida awkwardly beamed a pouty smile at Chronos when his eyes shifted to her. In addition she blinked rapidly in an attempt to perform beautiful eyes since she can't perform the tousled hair maneuver on her well-kept hair.

Kahit muhkang naengkanto bigla si Chronos sa ginawa niya agad naman nitong pinalis ang kamay ni Vida sa baba nito na animo nandidiri. Napahawak si Chronos sa braso nito na makikita mong nagtatayuan ang mga balahibo kahit sa malayo. His expression was a winner.
