Chapter 6

After hand to hand combat was over you decided to skip dinner. You didn't feel like eating so you told Sasha she could have your share. You then left the mess hall without saying anything and headed into the woods for some peace and quiet.

You sat down under a tree and sighed but you always had the sort of feeling you were being watched. You stood up and began to walk around the woods. You then felt a hand on your shoulder. You grabbed their hand and flipped them onto the ground. You were about to attack again but you then saw who it was.

"God dammit Reiner. I would have killed you," you stated and helped him to his feet.

"Well, I at least know not to sneak up on you," Reiner said and chuckled which caused you to smile. "What're you doing out here anyways?"

"I'm not feeling like myself so I thought walking out here would help clear my mind," you stated.

There was an awkward silence for a bit and then Reiner gazed at you.

"Sorry about earlier I-," Reiner said but you cut him off.

"It's fine honestly. Just don't pull stuff like that," You said to him with a serious tone.

Another awkward silence.
"So, Eren is your brother," Reiner questioned. "But you have different names?"

"I was adopted into his family like Mikasa. We're all like family. His parents were so kind to me when they found me. But they're dead now."

"I'm sorry to hear that," Reiner said and then wrapped his arms around you pulling you into a hug. Your back was against his chest and he felt so warm. You leaned back against him.
"It's alright," you said softly and turned to face him.

Reiner was about to kiss you but then people came out of the bushes nearby. It was Jean and Connie. They saw your position. Connie began to laugh and Jean smirked.

"Already have girlfriend Reiner," Jean teased. "I mean she is a beauty."

Jean then walked over to you and wrapped an arm around you. You were blushing like mad and brushed Jean's arm off of you.

"What are you two doing out here anyway," Reiner asked gazing at Jean feeling a bit mad.

"Oh. Annie and Bertholdt were looking for you," Connie said.

Reiner nodded and grabbed your arm and walked off with you away from those two.

"They asked for you, not (y/n)," Jean said.

Reiner ignored them and continued to head off dragging you with him.

"Reiner. You can let go now," you said softly to him. He seemed different to you. Was it jealousy but, why would he be jealous. He doesn't like you, does he?

"Oh sorry. I just didn't think leaving you with those two was the best choice," Reiner said to you.

"I can take care of myself and you should get to the others before they wonder where you are. I'm heading to bed. Goodnight Reiner," you said and then left.

"Goodnight," Reiner said and then went off into the opposite direction.
