Chapter 9

You woke up from the darkness and sat up. You noticed you were in the infirmary. You cursed to yourself and sighed. There were bandages on your head and side where you had been hurt but you felt no pain. You then began to think back to your visions.

"Marcel," you muttered to yourself thinking. That was the familiar voice known as your bother in the first vision. "B-brother."

You then heard someone stir beside you. You looked over and saw Reiner asleep at the side of your bed. His eyes opened once he had heard what you said.

"Do you remember?" Reiner simply asked.

"What do you mean?" You asked a bit scared.

"Do you remember your blood brother, Marcel," Reiner asked.

"Did you know him?" You asked curiously.

Reiner nodded. "I did and we were best friends. He couldn't stop talking about you when we came to find you but that mission became impossible since everyone else didn't know what you looked like all except Marcel. He always said you had neon green eyes that sparkled like stars. He was right," Reiner said and smiled at you. You stared at him wide eyes.

"I-I just remember he mentioned your name once to me. You, Annie, and Bertholdt," you said to him. "He was going to introduce me to you all the next day but that night I was taken away."

You then looked up and stared at Reiner. "Where is my brother," you asked desperately.

Reiner stared at you as if he was on the verge of tears.

"He sacrificed himself to save me. He was eaten by a titan on the way here to rescue you," Reiner said.

You immediately bursted into tears and began to cry into Reiner's chest. He wrapped his arms around you and held you close.

"Don't tell anyone about what happened to you and Marcel, (y/n)," Reiner said. "People will try and hurt you then but you can talk to Annie, Bertholdt, and I about it okay."

He patted you on the back and gave you a smile to try and cheer you up. You nodded and wiped your eyes and rested your head against his chest listening to his heart beat.

"Let's redo these bandages, shall we," Reiner said to lighten the mood.

He then began to unwrap your bandage where the bullet wound was. It was already fully healed.

"Strange. Usually it doesn't heal this quickly unless....," Reiner said trailing off. "Nevermind."

You gazed up at him but didn't question him. He redid all the bandages and soon Bertholdt and Annie walked in.

"Does she remember," Annie asked.

Reiner nodded. "She remembers most things like her brother and that she was taken away but I don't know about the rest."

"W-we should give it time," Bertholdt said to them and everyone nodded.

You just sat there half confused and half understanding what they were saying.

"Can I join you guys for lunch?" You asked

They gazed at you and then nodded.
"We'll go ahead and get the food and meet you at the table," Annie said and then all three walked off.

You got up and began to get ready for the day.
