I walk out the door, not knowing what to expect. Trevor opens his door and runs to me.

"Hey, Rosie!" He said, embracing me in a tight hug. I smiled at his act of kindness. "You ready to have the best beach trip of your life?" he said, smiling widely.

"Oh, yeah. I am SO ready!" I return his smile with a broad one. Then he does something unexpected; he grabbed my free hand and pulled me with him to the backseat of the car. Even though it probably didnt mean anything to him, it still gave me a giddy feeling in the pit of my stomach. I laugh freely as me drags me behind him, wanting me to hurry. I run behind hie, and when we get the the car, he opened the door to the backseat and bowed, pretending he was my butler. He brought my hand to his lips, kissing it softly. I blush deeply at the sudden contact.

"Your carriage awaits, my princess." he said in a British accent. He's so sweet, good Lord!

I giggle, then step inside. I am surprised to see only Sam (who was driving) and Connor riding shotgun. Before I could ask, Sam answered my unspoken question.

"The rest of the group is at Starbucks, wanna go?!" he asked excited.

"DUH. Of course!" I replied.

"Well I didn't know if you were one of those rare white girls that didnt like coffee or something!!!" he said laughing.

Connor plugged his phone into the stereo, and started playing fun, upbeat music. We basically had a party on the way to the cafe. I sang along, letting loose of all stress.

"You have an amazing voice! Why didnt you tell me?!" Trevor exclaimed over the loud music.

"I don't know, I didn't think I was that good," I shouted back.

"Are you kidding?! You're talented!" Connor yelled, dancing in his seat.

"Thanks!" I say. These guys... they're just so amazing!

We sang/screamed along to the music until we got to our destination.

As soon as we parked, Trevor quickly hopped out and ran to my door. He opened it with the same act as before, taking my hand out and saying "Watch your step" In a British accent. I laughed at his silliness. His goofy side was one of my favorite things about him.

Even after he shut the door behind me, he didn't let go of my hand. As we walked to the doors, we swung our hands back and forth in rhythm of our steps. It was a very sweet and subtle gesture that made me like him even more.

When the barista asked for our orders, they nudged me to go first.

"I'll have a grande soy vanilla bean frappe please, with two extra shots of vanilla."

"Fancy," Trevor commented on my order. "Why soy?" he asked.

"My stomach has always been sensitive to dairy..." I said.

"Ooo, that sucks." he replied.

"Nah, I've gotten used to it." I say, shrugging my shoulders.

"I guess that's what you just gotta do, amiright?" he said with a small smile.

"Yeah," I say, returning the smile.

After everyone ordered their drinks and picked them up, we all sat where the rest of the group was. The guys introduced me to Jenn first, a spunky blonde who would look adorbs with Jc, then Andrea, a short brunette who was dating Kian. I liked them both, and they seemed to like me back.

While we sipped our drinks and joked together, Trevor kept his arm around me the whole time... I was really getting my hopes up in thinking he might actually like me back.

We all decided to meet at the beach, since we were separated in 3different cars. I was nervous about them seeing my bruises... and scars. Granted I haven't touched my razor in months.. the evidence was still vaguely there on my thigh. It stressed me out that I had so much to hide.

I think Trevor began to sense my tensity, because he began rubbing circles in the back of my hand. It worked, because it soothed me.

"You ok?" he asked, worried. Wow. He actually cared.

"Ummm... Yeah... I've just got a lot of things on my mind." I sighed, letting out a shaky breath. What was I supposed to tell him? 'Yeah, you know, my uncle beats me. No biggie.' I don't think so...

"I know we just met.. but if you ever need anyone to talk to, I'll be here, kay?" he said sincerely.

I stared into those big blue eyes and smiled a small smile. "Thanks," I whispered. "You have no idea what that means to me."

He just smiled and held my hand. I liked that he didnt have to constantly talk, we could be silent and it wasn't awkward.

The car came to a stop, and Trevor let out the girliest giggle. He ran out and pulled off his shirt.

"You coming?! The water looks perfect!" he shouted at me.

Great. I can't do this...

"Nah, I'm just gonna hang out and soak up some sunshine." I say with a fake smile.

He looked disappointed, but Kian, Jc, and Ricky joined him and he was soon laughing again. I smiled at the sight as I lay out my beach towel, pull out my few items, and take off my bikini cover and shorts. Thank god my concealer was heavy duty, so you couldn't even see my bruises. I put on my sunglasses and sit on my towel.

I realize I wouldn't be able to put on my tanning lotion because it would rub off the makeup, so I just put it back in my bag. I would have to be careful and try not to burn, I guess.

I lay down and let the warmth of the sun take all my stress away. I hadn't been to the beach in a while.

A few minutes after I had been laying there, I hear someone beside me, laying out their towel. I sit up to see who it was, and it was Sam. Shirtless. Oh lawd I don't care if he was just a friend, I had to admit he was SEXY.

"Hey," I say, trying to get my mind off his perfect abs.

"Hey," replied, giving me a friendly smile.

"Why aren't you with the rest of them?" I ask, wondering.

"I didn't really feel like getting wet.. I'm in the mood for warm, dry sand." he replied, shrugging.

"I totally get what you mean." I say back to him, even though it wasn't entirely the truth. The truth was that I wanted to enjoy the ocean, but since I was stuck here I might as well make the best of it.

"So what's up with you and Trev?" he asked, raising an eyebrow.

I laughed... then blushed.

"Umm I don't know.." I say sheepishly.

"Well do you like him?"

"Yeah..." I couldn't lie about something like this to Sam. Hiding bruises was one thing, but hiding feelings was another. "I just don't know if he would ever like me back. I mean he's so perfect, so sweet, and I'm just.. well, me."

"What do you mean?! You are beautiful! You could get any guy you want." he said, but I thought differently.
