*Trevor's POV*

"Rose, don't! Don't cr-" I try to comfort her, but I am cut off by the feeling of her baby soft lips crash on mine.

At first, I am shocked. I did not see this coming. But then I realize that Rose is kissing me...

ROSE IS KISSING ME.

I kiss back, and put my arms around her small waist. She set her fragile hands gently on my chest. After a few seconds, she pulls back and looks into my eyes, locking our gaze. Thankfully, her tears were gone... I hated seeing her cry. I set my forehead on hers, then held her close, never wanting to let go.

I lay back down on the couch, her laying on top of me with her head resting on my chest.

"Rose Shire, I don't know why you never answered me before... but I'll ask it again. I really like you," actually, I loved her, but I didn't want to freak her out. "I want you to be mine... will you please..." Why does this have to be so hard?! I swallow, trying to get rid of my nerves and man up, then finish my question. "Be my girlfriend." I stared at the ceiling waiting for a reply. I knew in that moment that this was meant to be, her in my arms, where no one can harm her, is where she should be. Forever. Whether she said yes or not, I would never stop loving her.

I feel her relax... is that good or bad? I feel my own muscles tense up waiting for her answer.

*Rose's POV*

I pulled away from the most beautiful kiss I had ever had... I stared into his eyes as he rested his forehead gently against mine. The tears had gone.

He lay back, and I snuggled into him on top of him. I set my head on his chest, never wanting this moment to end. Then he spoke, and I could feel his voice radiating through my soul.

"Rose, I don't know why you never answered me before... but I'll ask it again. I really like you. I want you to be mine... will you please...be my girlfriend." He said.

I feel my muscles relax. I don't know why, but it just felt right. I heard the sencerity in his voice. I trust him. Enough to say yes.

"Yes." I look up at his face, which held and expression of surprise.

"Really?" he asked, a smile forming on his face.

"Yes." I say, giggling at his reaction.

Unexpectedly, he picked me up with me straddling the front of him (my legs crossed in the back, arms around his neck, his hands under my thighs supporting me), and spun around. He laughed the most ADORABLE laugh, and I joined in. He became still, and he pecked me on the nose and set me down on the couch.

My stomach danced with butterflies. They were the good kind, though.

Trevor sat down next to me, then pulled me onto his lap. He chuckled at some thought unknown to me.

"What do you wanna do today, girlfriend?" He asked in a valley girl accent.

"Starbucks, Taco Bell, and then a lazy day." I say. I am deprived of those three simple things.

"Perfect," he said.

I laugh at his cheesiness.

"Ok, well if we're going anywhere then I need to get ready." I say, starting to get up.

"No." he said, holding me back. "You look beautiful just the way you are."

Actually, no. I don't look beautiful. I'm the same scrawny, miserable person I've always been.
