"Hello?" I mumbled still half asleep, it was a dark Thursday morning as the clouds rolled over New York.
"Amanda! Hey it's Jeremy-" I gasped at the suddenness of the situation.
"Oh! H-hi Jeremy!" I sat up quickly, the white covers falling down to my lap.
"I was wondering if you'd want to be my model for a shoot I'm doing today."
"Really? Are you sure?" I questioned with doubt, me? A photoshoot? They must be practicing their photoshop.
"Yeah," he chuckled,
"Do I need to do anything special?" I asked,
"No just dress the way you would normally dress, you look perfect like that. We are doing an office addition." I smiled down at my lap as heat rose to my cheeks.
"Okay. When should I meet you?"
"Come to my area at your break. I've got to go, thanks for helping me out." And with that he hung up.
I quickly texted the group chat telling them what had just happened.
"Girl! You've gotta wear something hot." Jill texted. I agreed one hundred percent. I was the curvy one in the group. Not in a fat way. Sure I had more meat on my bones but it attracted men like hell. It was mostly in my boobs and my butt. Though I say my breasts definitely take the win. Double D to be precise.
I decided on a black tight skirt and I pretty low cut loose white top. The sleeves reached my forearm.
Let's just say I left little to the imagination. I never thought of that in a bad way either. I wasn't a slutty person. I just felt confident and comfortable the way I dressed.
Usually I would dress in a tight skirt and with somewhat low tops but female blazer of some sort to cover some.
But this is Jeremy we are talking about.
I applied my makeup, natural. And straightened my hair like I usually do.
.
I felt like a million dollars as I walked into the office. Sure every women here would usually dress like this, maybe not this much. Definitely my friends.
I smiled at them and walked over to the water machine where they were meeting.
"Oh my god, you boobs must be fake." Jill gasped making my face red.
"Jill shut up! You can't talk about my bits so loud and no they aren't fake." I rolled my eyes.
"You know who will have his eyes all over you?" Amy smirked, I thought they were going to say Jeremy.
"Alex." Anna said with a whisper and grinned.
"Who?"
"Mr. Harrison. His name is Alex."
I had completely forgotten that. Though my cheeks still heated up.
"He hates me guys and anyways Jeremy is-"
"I thought we established this Amanda." Jill gave me a stern look. Her face going serious and cold. She told me many times that Jeremy doesn't like me and I should get over him. I probably should but he always does something little that makes me fall head over heels for him.
"Don't even think about Jeremy."
"Anyways Alex- or Mr. Harrison whatever your gonna call him is in there probably day dreaming about you. He's like a billion times hotter than Jeremy anyway. Like a billion." Anna grinned.
"I wouldn't say a billion." Jill muttered before wondering away.
"What's up with her?"
"She also didn't get your coffees."
My eyes widened in shock.
Oh hell no.
I ran down the stairs and out the building to my car. Jillian is supposed to get the coffee because she live right beside Starbucks. I groaned and pressed my foot on the gas pedal, trying to get the coffees in time.
I grabbed the drinks and got back to the office as quick as I could- still very late though.
Every single person I got to with coffee said I was late and they weren't impressed.
I got to Jeremy's area second and they weren't happy but they didn't argue.
Jeremy just smiled and looked me up and down.
"You are so pretty." I blushed and handed him his coffee.
"So what took so long?" He grinned with humour.
"Oh jill didn't grab my coffees like she usually does so I had to rush out just now to grab them. But its no big deal." I gave a small smile.
"Jill didn't?" He said wide eyed.
"It's not a big deal." I smiled again trying to make sure he knew I didn't want to start anything with my best friend.
He gave a small smile.
"Just tell everyone your doing your best. I can't wait for our shoot." He said nicely.
I made my way up to Alex's office, and knocked on the door. He didn't answer.
He must be getting ready for the board meeting. The interns are expected to come to learn. I was actually quite excited. I went to grab my friends from my desk area to see only Anna was there.
"They others already went in." She rolled her eyes, obviously not impressed with them.
"Jeremy came and talked to jill I think she's mad at you now." Anna whispered. I gasped a little.
"We've gotta go the meeting should be starting.
.
We walked in to an oval table and a lot of men, men I've never seen. Alex stood at the front. He didn't notice me and I sat down in the only available chair, closest to him.
He looked so handsome today in his suit. His eyes looked more blue as they glanced over everyone, he even had a small, polite smile on his face. That is until he saw me.
He was talking about something as we had walked in and I was sitting waiting till I understood when his eyes met mine. His expression, blank as he glanced at my outfit, it then shifted into a frown. That's when I think Alex realized he had stared to long and glanced back at the table. He stood there for a second until his cheeks reddened,
"Sorry what was I talking about?" He shot me a glare, as if this was my fault. I sat there as stares of dissatisfaction stained the men's faces.
Alex sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose as if he was making a hard decision.
"Mrs. Grant, would you mind stepping outside?"
I glanced up with surprise.
"W-wha-"
"Please?" He stared at me blankly, obviously masking his emotions.
I gave an awkward nod and glanced across the table at an amused Jill.
I stood up and left the room feeling a whirlwind of emotions.
Mostly anger, some guilt, but mostly anger.
