"WHAT!" Brent and I shouted at the same time. Gracie began crying so I sang a little lullaby to calm her down.

"Dr Hudson said I had a miscarriage during the car accident." I explained but Dr Peters shook her head.

"Who's Dr Hudson?" She asked and I raised my eyebrow.

"Tall man, greyish hair. Hazel eyes." I described but Dr Peters remained lost.

"Blood is not uncommon during pregnancies." She explained and I frowned.

"Then explain the pain after the crash."

"Tallulah you were in a car crash, I'm sure you would've felt pain." Dr Peters mocked and I rolled my eyes.

"So I've had 2 living babies inside if me." I asked and Dr Peters nodded.

"For the past 9 months, yes." She smiled and left the ward.

Brent frowned at Max. As he carried him, Brent just frowned. Occasionally he would look up at me but always with a sad face. Trying to accept the fact that we had 2 living kids was difficult.

"You okay?" I asked as Gracie was finally asleep.

"Tallulah how do you think I feel?" He sternly asked and I sighed.

"Can I see him?" I asked as I placed Gracie in the cot beside me. Brent walked towards my bed and gave Max to me. Brent played with his fingers and soon left to get some coffee.

"You're a little surprise aren't you." I whispered as I stroked Max's cheek. Max stretched and barely opened his mouth to yawn. He opened his eyes slightly but immediately closed them again as he was exposed to the light.

"Hey, you've got eyes like grandma." I smiled. Max snuggled his head into my chest and tried to sleep. I sang a nursery rhyme to get Max to sleep but he soon cried. His face looked like he was crying but there was no sound coming out. I furrowed my eyebrows as I watched him.

"Why can't I hear you baby?" I sighed before realising that my baby was mute. He couldn't speak.

Brent came in and placed the coffee on the table.

"How's he doing?" Brent asked as he rested his hand on my thigh.

"Brent, Max can't talk." I frowned not looking into his eyes.

"Well duh." He scoffed and I playfully hit his arm.

"No like that you idiot. I think Max is mute."

Brent observed the baby's face as still no sound emitted from his mouth. Brent got up and sat on the windowsill as he gazed out. He played with his hair (which was now growing back) and sighed.

"I still love him Tallulah. I'd still love him if anything happened to him. Max and Gracie are my kids and I will love them unconditionally." Brent whispered and I nodded.

"Nice use of a Katy Perry reference." I giggled and Brent bowed jokingly.

"Why thank you, I try my best."

My eyes began to shut and I felt Max being lifted away from me.

"Night." I muttered as I fell into a slumber. Brent kissed my forehead and held my hand as he sat beside me. The only noises you could hear was the soft beeping of the heart monitor and quiet breathing.

"The Rivera family, all in one room." I whispered, my eyes still shut. I thought about it once more and smiled: the Rivera family, all in one room.

I woke up to the sound of soft snoring. Brent lay fast asleep beside me and I smiled. Bags formed under his eyes and dried up drool was on his chin. I looked at Brent's hand and frowned as I saw his ring was missing. Suddenly I had a coughing fit. I couldn't stop coughing and I tried so hard not to wake anyone up. Brent stirred and I covered my mouth. My throat was in pain and I coughed even harder.

"Tallulah." Brent moaned and I let out one final cough. I remained silent as Brent called my name out again. He opened his eyes and looked around the room before we had eye contact.

"I thought you left." He groaned. His morning voice made me tingle.

"Sorry I didn't want to wake you." I apologised and Brent held my hand. I rubbed the finger his ring was supposed to be on and I sighed.

"Tallulah," He said and I looked at him. His eyes looked so tired and all I wanted to do was kiss him, "I took the ring off."

"I can kinda tell." I said sarcastically and Brent caressed my cheek. I moved away from his touch but he cupped my cheek.

"I don't need a stupid ring to show you I love-" he began.

"You lost it." I answered monotonously and Brent shook his head.

"It's at home. When I got a call saying you were giving birth I forgot to put it back on." He explained but I looked down. Brent lifted my chin to try and get me to look at him but I closed my eyes.

"We gave vows Brent. That ring is a symbol of our love and if you took it off it just shows that you don't want...us." I sighed.

"Are you seriously saying that a measly ring is going to show how much I love you?" He questioned, shaking his head.

"Yes Brent! They are wedding rings. You married me and marriage is probably like the best way if showing how much you love someone." I shouted. I looked at the babies and they were still sound asleep.

"Tallulah don't do this to me," Brent begged as he rested his forehead against mine, "Tallulah we got married YESTERDAY, in fact a few hours ago. Don't tell me that this relationship is over."

"Unless you want it to be." I frowned and Brent chuckled.

"Never." Brent kissed me and held one hand against my waist. I rested my hand in his chest and smiled into the kiss.

"I love you Mr Rivera." I bit my lip as I gazed into his mesmerising eyes.

"I love you Mrs Rivera." Brent resumed the kiss and sparks flew.

That was when I realised that this was what I wanted. I wanted us. I wanted a family with the boy I began loving several years ago. I was happy with Brent and he with me. We had 2 beautiful kids and a loving family. We were safe from harm and loved each other and we would until death do us part. I loved this boy and I could safely call him mine.

THE END...or is it?

I guess this is the end of this story. I'm actually so proud of myself for writing this and I have been since a while ago. Thank you so much for the support and I hope you enjoyed reading this. If you want me to do a sequel about their lives later on just write a comment and I'll think about it. Love you guys and Tallulah finally had her happy ending. Yay.
