Rosemary and Daniel had just arrived back to the Costelle manor, from the zoo. Both were lost in their thoughts. Rosemary was thinking about the boy they had met named Harry, while Daniel was thinking about something else entirely. Daniel understood what that snake had said. He wanted to tell Rosemary, but he didn't know how to. It was rare for a person to understand snake language. He knew that he absolutely had to tell Rosemary. But how?

So, mustering up all his courage, he took Rosemary's arm and dragged her inside the manor, up to Rosemary's room. Rosemary was confused, but let Daniel drag her.

When they arrived at Rosemary's room, Daniel let go of her and started pacing worryingly. Rosemary was starting to get dizzy from all the pacing Daniel was doing, and took a firm step forward in an attempt to get his attention. But alas, she didn't manage to get it.

"Daniel!"

The sound of his name, made Daniel snap his attention to the source of the voice. Seeing Rosemary standing there looking at him with a concerned look, made him speak his concerns.

"I understood it," Daniel said quietly. "I understood the snake."

Confused, Rosemary asked: "What?"

"At the zoo. When the snake was in front of Harry, you and I, it said something. A-And I understood it."

Rosemary looked at Daniel with shock. How was that possible?

She took Daniel's hand in her own, and lead them both to her bed where they sat down next to each other. Hand in hand.

"I don't know if I'm going crazy and I just imagined the snake talking or if I'm really able to understand snakes. That I'm really able to speak p-parseltongue."

"Well, you aren't crazy, that is certain. But the question we must ask is; if you are a parselmouth, where did you get it from, as it is typically hereditary?"

Daniel shrugs his shoulders: "I don't really know a lot about my family, you know that. The only things my parents do, are giving me a room, food and other necessities. We never talk, and they pretend that I don't exist. As if, they never wanted me from the beginning."

Rosemary looked at Daniel sadly: "You know that you are always welcome to stay here with me. You even have a room for yourself here. You only use the room a couple of times a month, and then you go back to your own house with your parents. You know that my parents love you and wouldn't mind having you stay here permanently."

"You have already done a lot for me, Rosie. I can't ask your parents to take me in, just because my own parents pretend that I don't exist."

"Just, think about it okay? And know that our doors are always open for you."

Daniel nodded his head and said: "Thanks Rosie. Do you really think that there was someone in my family that was a parselmouth?"

"Well, it is possible. Didn't you say that your whole family have been in Slytherin? And it is commonly known that Salazar Slytherin was a parselmouth too. So, there is a chance that you could have inherited the ability, if there was someone in your family that was a parselmouth."

"But, why me? I'm sure that my parents don't have the ability, so why me? Everyone knows that parselmouth is a sign of a dark wizard. Did I get the ability because I'm e-evil?"

Rosemary looked at Daniel in the eyes and said forcefully: "Dani, you don't have an evil bone in your body! You're the kindest person that I have ever met! I understand your concerns, but trust me when I say this, you are not evil. In my eyes, you are my Dani that loves puppies. Tell me, have you ever heard of someone who is evil that loves puppies?"

"I can't help it. They are so cute! Those puppy eyes, begging for my attention and love, how can I refuse?"

Rosemary and Daniel laughed. Daniel looked at Rosemary and said: "We'll have to keep this our secret. Who knows how other people would react if they found out that there was a potential dark wizard close with the Costelles. That wouldn't be so good."

Rosemary nodded and said: "Just know, that even if people found out, I would still be by your side defending you."

The two best friends hugged each other and knew that, as long as they were together, they could live through anything.

Rosemary pulled away from the hug and looked at Daniel with a curious face: "Dani, what did the snake say?"

Daniel thought about it for a second and answered: "If I remember correctly, the snake said: 'Brazil, here I come... Thanksss, amigo'."

Rosemary laughed. Daniel had said the last part as if he was the snake that said that.

"Wait, the snake Thanked you? Why would it do that, unless, the snake thanked you for making that glass vanish."

"I didn't make that glass disappear. But, the boy, Harry, he was with us, do you think that, maybe, he made that glass disappear?"

"But that would mean, he is a wizard!"

They looked at each other in realization.

"I guess, we'll find out if he really is a wizard if we see him at Hogwarts."

"Yeah, I guess you're right." Daniel said thoughtfully.

And so, the two couldn't wait to finally go to Hogwarts and hopefully meet Harry, and for all the new adventures that awaited them there.
