Rosemary was ready to meet up with her best friend Daniel, to get to school. She wore her school uniform which consisted of, a white skirt that went to a little over her knees, with a light blue-coloured shirt, with a darker shade of blue than the shirt coloured blazer, short white ankle socks and her white shoes. She went outside of her family's big manor and inside the awaiting white limo. Her butler - Gaston - was carrying her school bag. He put the bag in the back seat beside her and went on to the front of the car to drive it. Gaston wasn't a man you could necessarily call old, but he wasn't young either, he was in his late thirties. Gaston was very loyal to the Costelles, he was also Rosemary's favourite butler.

Both Daniel and Rosemary were 10-years-old, and both were from rich pureblood wizarding families – though the Costelles were the richest in the whole wizarding world, and the Michaels weren't even close. They didn't live that far away from each other, only 10 minutes apart from each other if you drove. But they usually used floo powder - a powder you throw into a fireplace and say where you want to go and you get there instantly – since it's so much faster.

The 10 minutes went by with a breeze, and they were at Daniel's house. Rosemary saw Daniel outside of the window coming towards the limo. She made more room in the backseat with her. Gaston stepped out of the limo and opened the door for Daniel.

"Hello Dani, I missed you very much" Rosemary said to Daniel with a soft smile on her face.

"Hello Rosie, I missed you even though we saw each other yesterday, and the day before that, and before that" Daniel said, making Rosemary laugh.

Daniel always loved to make Rosemary laugh, he saw Rosemary as the little sister he never had and as his best friend.

"So, Dani... It's May 3rd today, that means in 10 days it's your birthday, which means...." Rosemary motioned for Daniel to continue.

"That means that I'm gonna be 1 year older than you." Daniel said with a big grin.

Rosemary shook her head with fake disappointment. Daniel became worried, he didn't know that she wasn't disappointed, he was afraid he had said something wrong or made her upset.

"Sorry Rosie..." Daniel put his hand on her shoulder "I didn't mean to make you upset. When I become 11, that means that there are only 2 months until your 11th birthday."

Rosemary couldn't believe how dim-witted he could be sometimes. Daniel was clever, but sometimes he was just too slow, or had a hard time understanding something.

"Dani, I'm not upset." Rosemary looked at Daniel with a smile, which made Daniel let out a sigh of relief.

"Puhh... You had me worried there... Wait if you weren't upset, then what is it?" Daniel asked confused and slightly worried.

Rosemary looked at Daniel amused.

"It's because you forgot that, we get our Hogwarts letter when we turn 11." Rosemary said.

After realising that he forgot about the Hogwarts letters, he looked away from Rosemary embarrassed. He couldn't believe how he could have forgotten about something that they had been talking about since they were little kids.

"Aw... It's alright Dani, you forgot, past tense, that means that it's in the past. Now let's focus on the future. Are you excited to receive your Hogwarts letter in just 10 days?" Rosemary asked.

Daniel was happy that Rosemary would never be mad at him for long. He could always count on her. He trusted Rosemary with his life, as he knew that she did too.

"Wow... All our life we have been waiting for the moment our letters would arrive. In only 10 days mine will come... And then you'll wait 2 months for yours. You know what, when my letter comes I won't open it, I'll wait until yours come and then we'll open them together." Daniel said.

"I cannot let you do that for me Dani, I know that we have both been waiting for our Hogwarts letters to arrive, but you do not have to wait until I receive mine." Rosemary said.

"Nonsense! I'll wait for you. You are my sister, family forever."

Rosemary smiled at Daniel, she could not believe how grateful she was to have such a great friend as Daniel.

"Family forever Dani, forever and always." The two kids smiled at each other so much that you could see their love for each other shine through their eyes.

On their way to school there was a silence, not an awkward one, but a comfortable and peaceful silence.
