A week after Rosemary's birthday ball, they had decided to go to Diagon Alley. Their servants had already bought everything they needed for Hogwarts, except the school uniforms, wands and pets.

Rosemary and Daniel were walking hand in hand, with Rosemary's parents. They were all on their way to the main fireplace on the first floor. Both Mason and Steve would be coming with them, as well as other guards and servants, including Rosemary's favourite butler – Gaston.

Rosemary and Daniel were trying not to jump around excitingly, they were finally going to Diagon Alley to purchase the rest of their things so they could go to Hogwarts!

They gripped each other's hands tighter, and were mentally hoping that everyone could hurry up. At last, the last group of guards arrived and they were ready to go. Half of the guards and servants would floo first, then the Costelles and Daniel, and then the rest would too.

Rosemary and Daniel wanted to floo to Diagon Alley together, so they locked their hands tighter together and stepped into the fireplace. Rosemary's parents were looking at them in confusion before realizing what they wanted to do. Before they could protest, the duo had already thrown their powder down and shouted: "DIAGON ALLEY!"

They could see other fireplaces speeding past them, as they landed in Diagon Alley. The guards had formed a line to separate the fireplace from the rest of Diagon Alley.

"Why did you do that?! You could have gotten seriously injured!"

A voice from behind them whisper-shouted. They hesitantly turned around to face the wrath of Alexandra Costelle.

They stared at her unsurely, afraid that she might cancel the whole trip.

Before Alexandra would make a scene, she composed herself and looked at her daughter and the boy she considered a son, sternly.

"If you ever do that again, I will separate the two of you." That small sentence made a great impact on the kids, and Alexandra knew that. She could threaten them with everything she had and it would not matter to them, as long as they had each other. Alexandra would never dare to separate them, but they didn't need to know that.

The kids nodded their heads quickly at her words, and stood even closer to each other – afraid that they would get separated.

Charles Costelle appeared in the fireplace, he took a quick glance at the kids and was relieved to see that they were fine. Nodded at one of the guards that they were ready. The guard nodded and motioned for the rest of the guards to form a circle around the Costelles and Daniel.

Rosemary and Daniel did not like this. But they went with it, they didn't want Rosemary's mother to have more reasons to separate them.

They decided to get their uniforms first. So, they walked towards Madam Malkin's Robes for All Occasions. As they were walking, many people would stop and stare at them. Understandable, it wasn't every day you would see the Costelles – rulers of the wizarding world – inside a circle of guards, strolling through Diagon Alley.

The Costelles could have easily asked for a tailor to arrive at the Costelle manor and fitted robes for Rosemary and Daniel. The same for the wands, they could have asked a wandmaker to come and find a wizard for their wand. They could also just have asked one of their servants to buy an animal.

But they didn't. They wanted Rosemary and Daniel to at least have a slightly normal experience with buying their school things.

As they arrived at Madam Malkin's, Rosemary's father told the guards that they would stand guard outside while the Costelles and Daniel went inside with two of their most trusted guards, Mason and Steve and also with Gaston.
