Chapter 9

Knocks could be heard from Rosemary's closed bedroom door: "Miss. Costelle. Wake up, you have a big day ahead of you." Said one of the maids.

A big day ahead of me? What-

Rosemary jumped out of her bed. How could she have forgotten. Today was September 1st, and both her and Daniel would be going to Hogwarts today!

Rosemary quickly changed her clothes, to a dark blue dress which went to a little above her knees, black ballerina shoes and the golden necklace with a rose that Daniel had given her.

She brushed her hair, letting it loose and left the room, startling the maid who was still standing outside of her door. Rosemary apologized quickly before going inside the room beside hers.

She walked towards the covered windows and moved the curtains so the warm morning sunlight would enter the room.

"Grr..." Daniel groaned from his bed.

Rosemary walked towards him, and took his covers in her hands and moved them a little down. She moved her head closer to his and whispered his name lowly.

"Dani, wake up..." Rosemary began shaking his shoulders slightly. Daniel groaned again, and buried his head in his pillow.

"G-go away y-you evil c-cupcake..." Daniel mumbled.

Rosemary shook her head in amusement, and placed her hand on his shoulder again, trying to wake him up. Suddenly, Daniel grabbed her. Rosemary found herself in the bed beside Daniel. He had her close to him, holding her as if she was a teddy bear.

Rosemary was a bit confused. One second she was leaning over Daniel trying to wake him up, and the next she was in bed too, being held as if his life depended on it.

Rosemary nudged Daniel and whispered softly: "Dani... come on, open your eyes..."

Daniel's eyes, slowly fluttered open – being lulled awake by Rosemary.

His eyes found Rosemary's, and he realised that he had her in his grip. A wide grin found itself upon Daniel's face and he held her closer to him.

"Hi Rosie. How did you end up here?" Daniel cuddled closer to Rosemary.

"Good morning, Dani." Rosemary smiled, "Have you forgotten what is going to happen today?"

Daniel looked at her in confusion: "Today? What do you mean?"

Rosemary smiled at Daniel excitingly: "Today is September 1st! We're going to Hogwarts!"

Daniel looked at Rosemary in equal excitement and jumped out of bed, and dragged Rosemary out with him.

"Come on, I don't want to miss the train!"

Rosemary shook her head in amusement: "Dani, you haven't even dressed yourself properly, and besides it's only 8 o'clock, and the train leaves at 11 o'clock."

Daniel stopped walking, and smiled at Rosemary sheepishly.

"Go get dressed, I'll wait for you out here."

Daniel nodded and walked quickly into his room and dressed into a short-sleeved navy-blue shirt, and some dark trousers. He slipped his beige shoes on and rushed outside to the awaiting Rosemary without brushing his hair.

"I'm ready."

Rosemary smiled and grabbed Daniel's hand. They walked to the dining room. It was a magnificent room, where a huge mahogany table took place in the centre of the room, the walls were covered with a shimmering gold paper and in the middle of the ceiling hung a grand chandelier.
