If two girls are dating.. They are both the girls in the relationship, hence the word LESBIAN.
I do not understand that question at all and never will. Are they trying to imply that somebody in the relationship needs to have muscles or wear the "boy clothes?" Does one of them have to hold the door open for the other to be labeled as the "man of the relationship?"

It isn't roleplay. Neither of the girls are trying to be a man in their relationship because if that were the case, then I'm pretty sure that would be considered a straight relationship.
