And then Adrian placed the dead black rose petals into the fountain water and watched them float away towards the centre and submerge under. It was noon and the sun reflected off the ripples of the water. He sighed, slowly breathing in the air around him.
It has been about two months since the first game hall, and the first time in five hundred years that he had seen his family, but the taste in his mouth was horrid. It tasted like hate, fear and anger all mixed together into one gross potion. And all of these negative feelings was aimed towards one man- Abyss End.
How dare Abyss defy the royal Dark family and use them as his puppets in his sick game? How dare Abyss mock him and make him a tool in his sick twisted shinanagins? It was sick and it was cruel. Adrian had a sick and twisted to desire to rip Abyss' fucking smiling head off of his shoulders and tear it it bits and...

"Hello?" A voice interrupted his trail of thought. It was a soft voice, female and it was coming from the entrance of the gardens. Adrian turned his head slightly, acknowledging the girl in the wheelchair, rolling towards him. She had short dark green hair, dark brown eyes and small pink lips. She was wearing a white lacey dress and white gloves. On her lap, was a clipboard and a bowl of food.
She is probably one of those new workers Abyss sent to look after me, Adrian thought bitterly. Adrian had scared off many of the workers sent to look after him, by either threatening them or just plain out refusing to do as bid. It did not matter to Adrian anyways. They were all beneath him.
The woman frowned as she placed the bowl, of what looked liked porridge, onto the fountain's edge. "You do not need to seem so angry to see me," She tells Adrian, placing her hands delicately onto her immobilized lap, "it is quite rude, you know."
Adrian hadn't even realised that he was frowning and he tried to lift it into a somewhat smile. The woman only chuckled, amused, which made Adrian's smile revert to its comfortable frown. "I am Skylar, by the way." She introduced, "and you are Adrian, I assume."
"Are you here because Abyss sent you?" Adrian asked. She didn't seem like she was, she was not wearing the formal uniform the previous workers wore- black blazers and ties. Skylar laughed again.
"Good heavens no!" She smiled, "I am here on my own accord and my own choice. You always appear so lonely, everytime I see you."
Every time you see me? Adrian thought to himself curiously. There were no other clearings than the entrance to the castle and anyways, Abyss was the only person to ever pass though that.
Wasn't he?
"Well, I don't need any company!" Adrian shot back too forcefully than he had hoped. It made him sound like a little child. Skylar appeared to be taken aback slightly, like she had never heard anyone speak to her in that tone of matter. But it didn't break her calm, almost kind demour as she asked, "Why ever not?"
"Because..." Adrian begun, but then paused to think about it. "Because it is in my blood." He finally answered, "It's in my family motto- No hope, just fear, blood and Pain. I'm supposed to be evil and evil people are isolated. It is simply never meant to be, for me. To have... friends..."

Skylar nods her head slowly, appearing to be taking all of what Adrian said in. She bit her bottom lip slowly, like she was thinking, calculating. Moving her wheelchair forwards slightly she begins saying mysteriously, "Would you like to know a secret?"
"What is it?" Adrian asked
"First of all, I would like you to understand something."
"Alright..."
"I would like you to understand that I am not human."
"Not... human?" Adrian looked at Skylar from head to toe. She seemed pretty much human to him. Two eyes, a small nose, female lips, two arms, a normal torso. Besides from her obvious immobilized legs, she was a complete human being, healthy. "Than what can you be?"
Skylar put her finger to the side of her nose and winks. "Not a human, yet not a god." She answers mysteriously, "That's what I am."

Adrian still did not yet get it, but he still listened to her story.
