My eyes began to flutter open to see my wife cradled in my arms, sleeping under white and purple sheets. From my angle above her, she seemed soft and gentle, as she breathes softly onto my chest, snoring quietly. I smiled warmly as I ran my left hand, my free hand, across her dull brown hair and breathed in her chocolate-like scent. Kissing her forehead slowly and cautiously, I only think of one thing. She is so beautiful; I am so lucky.
"I can sense you watching me in my sleep." Lucy states, almost surprising me. Her eyes were still closed, but there was a triumphant smile upon her face.
"Gosh darn it..." I muttered and she giggles as she pressed her lips against mine. I smiled under her lips. "Good morning to you too." I laughed, hugging her closer.
When we had finally decided to get up, we discovered that many people were in the recreational room, chattering. The mood was calm, almost peaceful, yet there was a twinge of hesitation and tension. People looked so bored that it almost looked like torture and there was pained expressions on their faces. "What's wrong?" I asked, as I sat down next to Steve, who had is arms wrapped around bus stomach, his face on the table.
"We're all hungry. The Cooks have gone missing for hours and there's nobody who can cook us breakfast." He replied, groaning in irritation.
"That's where you are wrong." Lucy announces as she smiles, clapping her hands, "Lilith, Sabrina, Elvira, Wysteria, Veronica. Ladies."
Wisteria and Veronica stood up as well as the other three women who Lucy called.
One of them had redish, blonde hair, that was curly and reached her shoulderblades. She had deep crimson eyes, pale skin and a small, button-like nose. She wore a red flannel and dark blue jeans that were were ripped at the kneecaps.
Another had auburn hair, that was short and only reached the bottom of her neck, tucked neatly behind her ears. She had light purple eyes, which contrasted over her pale skin. She wore a green and black flannel and light blue jeans.
The final woman was a pig-woman, who was white in colour. She too had purple eyes, wore a light blue flannel and white jeans. She stood at an angle, one of her hands laying comfortably onto her hip.
"Let make breakfast." Lucy smiles as she and the rest of the sqaud, the council I suspect, almost strut to the kitchen.
"Do you need help?" Alex asked, raising his head from his straw. He was drinking chocolate milk. Lucy only waved him off. "No, no, Alex Honey!" She convinces, smiling as he disappears into the kitchen, "We're good."
As Alex only stares after her, confused, I only smile softly after her. I guess her instincts are kicking in, now, I thought to myself. I wonder when she is going to tell everyone?
