"So as you see," Skylar concluded, "The darkness you grew up in is beautiful; the darkness within your own being makes you whole. You just need to accept it."
"What if I do not want to?" Adrian asked, looking distantly towards the treeline of the gray peach trees. Through the small holes of the cage that Abyss trapped him in, Adrian can see the setting sun. The wind had begun to pick up, and Adrian hugged himself for warmth. The cold season is coming soon, he noted, as everything begun to turn blue under the rising moonlight.
"You have no choice but to, sooner or later." Skylar replied simply, as she glanced down at a dull metal watch, "Oh dear, that appears to be the end of my work shift." Slowly, Skylar puts the untouched bowl of porridge back onto her lap and, with a red pen, scribbled something down on the clipboard, before putting that on her lap as well. She began to put her hands onto the wheels of her wheel chair and turn around, towards the entrance to the castle.
"Wait." Adrian stopped her by grabbing one of handles of her wheel chair.
"Woah there, kid. Don't give me an heart attack, I already have my crappy legs!" Skylar half joked, chuckling.
"Sorry... I just..." Adrian paused for a moment. He didn't know how to quite put it, this was the first time he ever wanted to ask someone to help him out. But what could she possibly do? Knowing Abyss, he wouldn't just give the keys to his chains to a worker. Slowly, and painfully, Adrian began to let go of the handle. "It's nothing, sorry." He said simply, shaking his head and smiling.
"If you say so..." Skylar responds as she continues her departure.

When Adrian was sure that she was gone, he went back to sit back onto the fountain. As he reached up towards the vine which held most of the black roses, he stopped. And frowned.

Who had he just been talking to again?
