I don't know exactly when it happened but something changed in Luna.

That morning, instead of walking together to class, she walked past me without a hello.

When I called for her she continued walking, avoiding every one of her friends and turned down the corridor.

I was shocked and a little hurt, but slammed my locker and went to my class as if it was nothing, but I knew something was wrong.

She didn't explain why and didn't apologize. She stayed quiet in the classes we shared and didn't come to lunch.

Later that night when I called her, I got the voice mail.

She didn't pick up even after I called 5 times and didn't reply to the texts I sent that night.

The day after that, she showed up at my house at one in the morning, climbed into my room and cried. She didn't say anything, just sat and cried, and I kissed her worries away.

She stayed the night, but when I woke up in the morning she wasn't there and my window was still open. I greeted her at her locker.

"Hey, babe."

"Sorry about yesterday, just had a bad night on Sunday." The distant look in her eyes seemed to say otherwise, along with the taste of alcohol on her lips the night before.

"It's fine." I went for her hand, but she didn't reach out so I pulled back. She glanced around, mumbled something about leaving and went her way.

I watched her slip into the crowd just as quickly as she slipped out of my grasp.
