It was the first day of May.
I hadn't seen Luna in 12 days.
I was worried.
Her mother called to see if she was with me, when I was thinking Luna was with her.
She stopped calling, never went to school, never replied to texts and just stopped existing.
I was going out of my mind about where she was. No one knew where she was and hadn't heard from her.
On May 7th she showed up at my house, pale and sickly, eyes bloodshot, and hair knotted up.
"Where have you been?"
"Sad." She mumbled.
"That's not a place."
"I was with Peter."
"What?" I shouted, she was so dumb especially after what happened. "You went with him? You didn't even call or text or anything!"
"It was okay."
"You've been on pills?"
"Yep." She smiled like it was nothing.
"You're killing yourself Luna."
"Whatever Ember." She laughed and turned around. "I'm off to seek better company." She left and I didn't bother going after her.
Luna Penelope Calder died on May 7th, 2013.
She overdosed on pills in her home and was found by her mother that night.
