After Luna promised to stay away from pills, we were fine and happy.
I went to her house two Saturdays after her confession about the pills. As usual, the front door was unlocked and I let myself in.
The house was quiet and her door was shut. "Luna!" I called into the empty house but received no response. I headed to her room, the place where we first smoked together. But when I opened the door, it seemed as if she forgot about me. Again.
"Holy shit, Ember!" She pulled her self off the person she was on, her lipstick was smeared and my heart was broken.
There were bottles upon bottles of pills, small white tablets sat on her dresser and beer bottles stood next to them.
"Are you kidding me?" I had no emotion at this point. My faith in Luna was gone along with the person I fell in love with. The boy in her bed stayed silent as he stood up and went to the bathroom. "You're such a bitch, Luna."
"You're joking, right?" She laughed an emotionless laugh and covered her body. "You thought we were serious?"
"You promised me Luna. You promised me two weeks ago that you would not do pills. Never again."
"Well I've been stressed and needed to relax." She lit a cigarette and wrapped her stained lips around the butt.
"So you think Ecstasy is the only way to relax? And Xanax? And fucking some guy?" I was so angry at her. She broke the promise of her sobriety and then broke my heart after it was just fixed. "I love you, Luna! But you hook up with anyone who can get you high! I thought you loved me, I thought we were happy and that everything was good."
"Guess everything isn't as it seems." She replied as smoke billowed out her mouth. I stared at her with anger, disgust and sorrow. Before I broke into tears I turned around and went home, alone.
