I smile lightly, pulling on my best clothes and walking out to see my brothers. They both look at me and smile.

"How do I look," I ask nervously.

"You look great Ponyboy, Johnny is gonna love you," Soda says. "Well he already loves you but you get what I mean."

I smile more and nod at him. Darry's eyes started to water and he looked like he could break any second.

"My little brothers growing up," Darry whispers.

I go over and hug him tightly. Pulling away, I sigh softly.

"I may be growing up Darry but I'll always be you're little brother..."

"I-I know but- i-i just can't believe it..."

There was a knock at the door and I stood up quickly, going over and opening the door. There stood Johnny Cade, the love of my life.

He grins widely and I open the door more. Darry stands up and wipes his eyes.

"Don't have too much fun you two," he says.

"Yes sir," Johnny says.

I wave at my brothers and Johnny grabs my hand, pulling me out the door and closing it behind us. Johnny kisses my cheek lightly and I blush.

"So Johnnycake, what's the plan for tonight," I ask.

"Well... I'll just show you when we get to the park... Its more like a question type thing but hopefully you'll like it."

"I'll like anything as long as its with you."

"Let's hope so," he mumbles.

We make our way to the park and I squeeze Johnny's hand lightly. He squeezes back and I smile lightly.

"So Johnny, you said you wanted to ask me something," I ask.

"U-uh huh..."

He lets go of my hand and I look at him oddly before seeing him get down on one knee, looking up at me. My eyes went wide and I felt like crying, putting a hand over my mouth to choke back a sob.

"Ponyboy Michael Curtis... Ever since I met you, I knew you were special. I may have been young when I felt something... But I didn't know what it was that I felt towards you until I got older..."

His eyes began to water and he bit his lip.

"I realized that I loved you and that I wanted to spend forever with you... Would you do me the honor of marrying me?"

"Y-yes!"
