One month later.
Eva stepped out of the sleek black limousine. She slipped into her pea coat as the nighttime breeze creeped along her skin.
It was almost midnight, but the city was still buzzing with excitement. She could hear the calming classical music from outside the restaurant, the glass windows shining from the light inside. It was wonderful, yet for some reason Eva couldn't move her legs.
Jumin made his way around the car and looked down at her with concerned eyes. "What's wrong my love?"
"I don't know." She answered truthfully. Something just did not feel right, as it so often did. She was nervous, afraid of what others might think of her. They had not been out in public for weeks, knowing it was too risky to show her face since it had been plastered in every magazine.
Eva took a deep breath. A night out in the city seemed like a great idea until she was actually there. Everyone would stare, and someone might recognize her. Especially in the dress she was wearing. Jumin had picked it out of course, but she knew it showed a little too much skin. Others would stare, right? It was so cold outside.
"You look amazing." He assured, holding out his hand with a smile.
Eva tried to believe him.
She eventually took his hand, knowing this night was supposed to be special. It was their 3 month anniversary, even if nobody else knew about it. Jumin had convinced her they wouldn't be bothered, this restaurant being the most exclusive one money could buy. People who ate there minded their own business, even the employees were encouraged (and paid) to ignore who came and went.
"It's going to be okay. I promise." Jumin leaned down and pressed his lips to her forehead.
He was right. She shouldn't be so worried about what others thought. But even as she tried, she could not shake the feeling.
The paparazzi incident seemed so long ago. Everything calmed down after a few days, and the two were left in peace to enjoy each other's company. But Eva still found herself constantly looking over her shoulder whenever she was with him.
So many awful things were said about her. Their drama was so last month, but it still hurt. And she was still suffering the consequences of sleeping with her boss. She was afraid.
It felt wrong, being in such a clandestine relationship. And it really bothered her.
But Eva loved him so much...Even if she hadn't exactly told him
It was still too soon to be so infatuated, the thought of confessing such strong feelings made her skin tingle.
The woman wanted to make sure it was special. The last thing she wanted was to scare him away. But she didn't want to end their relationship. She loved being with him, pleasing him, being there for him when nobody else was. Eva began to worship the power she felt when she was with him. It was like a drug, and she was more than addicted.
She tried her hardest to conform to his lifestyle, to his needs. But it was hard, so hard. Eva was an open person, she shared everything with others. Everyone knew her business because there was nothing to hide.
Except Jumin. Hiding her feelings for him drained her emotionally and physically. She always wondered what it would be like if others knew.
Eva shook her head, desperately trying to clear her head of those thoughts. She didn't want to think of it. She wanted to be here with him, in a moment that was supposed to be special.
Noticing her stiffness, Jumin intertwined their fingers together. "Happy anniversary." He whispered into her ear as they walked into the five star restaurant.
