As I cried on the crouch, I heard the doors of the castle open then close. Footsteps coming my way only became bigger until they stopped and I felt the opposite end of the couch drop a little.

"(Y/N)," His raspy and quite voice said. "Are you mad at me?"

"Well no shit stupid. You just humiliated me in front of several people." I repiled.

"Well, I'm sorry. I was just having my fun and had a little too much fun. I promise you I didn't mean to do it on purpose." Mark said.

"Yeah yeah. I know very well that's not true." I held the big pillow I was crying on closer to my body. Well was until Mark snatched it away from me.

"Look at me." He said and threw the pillow into a unknown corner. I didn't obey.

"(Y/N), please look at me." He demanded once more. I rolled my eyes and looked at his chocolate browns eyes while he looked at my puffy (E/C) eyes. Mark placed two of his fingers on my chin a lifted my head a little.

"If I don't mean it, why would I have said it? When I make a promise, I keep it. No doubts." The brwon haired man said, placing a kiss on my forehead.

"So, can you forgive me?" Kissing my teeth, I wrapped my arms around his neck and finally gave him a proper kiss; without some fabric covering my lips. There, I left more love and more passion when there wasn't my scarf interfering. Maybe this is what I wanted after all.

"Ugh. You're extremely lucky that I'm your girlfriend." I gave him another kiss.

"So, can we please go back to what we were doing?" He questioned and I nodded in response. I was about to put my scarf back on, but Mark once again, snatched away from me.

"Dont put it on. You're covering your marks of survival." The man crunched up my scarf into a ball and threw it back onto the couch. He turned back to me and grabbed my hand, entwining our fingers, making me blush slightly.

"Let's go." He pulled me through the big door and off we were, back to where we were. Hand in hand, how we are supposed to be. None of the fighting should have happened. None of the unnecessary conflicts ever happened. Now we only focus on what the future has for us, for our family, for the city of Egypt. Finally reaching our destination, everyone surrounded us instantly and started asking questions, but only stopped since they saw me without my scarf.

"(Y/N), where's your scarf?" Jack asked with an eyebrow raised.

"Mark said I don't need it."

"She doesn't." Mark added. "Anyways, shall we countiue with our work?"

"Yes. We shall." I repiled, grabbing my rake from the ground and resumed our hard work.

------two hours later-----

In the span of two hours, we had planted a few seeds of different crops with the help of some of the townspeople. We said our thanks and went our separate ways from the people, waiting for the crops to grow.

"Jeez, I'm so tried!" Signe belted out with a yawn.

"I feel ya. Any one of you got Tylenol?" Felix asked and streached his back muscles. Well, I couldn't blame them. My body was cramping up when we were half way done. But, we all did a fair amount of hard work and got a shit ton of things done. I'd say that's a win in my book.

"You sound like a old man, Felix. Stop that." I commented, which was followed with a chuckle. We all entered the castle and plunked on the couch, earning a huff of relief from everyone.

"So, what's for dinner and who's cooking?" A question sprouted from nowhere and all eyes were on Amy. She kissed her teeth and got up from the couch, starting to tie up her blonde hair into a ponytail.
