Located in Sidomulyo village, Bakung district, Blitar. From downtown Blitar, the distance is about 30 km. To go to Umbul Waru beach, you can choose the route through Trisula Monument and Embultuk cave. Because access to this beach is in the middle of the route. If you are from the Trisula monument, follow the direction to the Tirto Galuh waterfall, then continue until over the bridge. When you get to the fork when it is straight to the beach, turn left. Follow the path until there is a security post in the corner. You can turn right to go to Umbul Waru beach. Follow the main road to continue then you will arrive at the beach. Do not hesitate to ask the people you meet on the road so as not to get lost. Or you can also pass the road which is right in front of Sidomulyo urban village office. Through this path is relatively easier than the security post.
Access to the beach can not be passed by car. Try not to ride the motor matic too. Because the path is full of rocks with a fairly high rise. Use also anti slip sandals when visiting the location.
The actual journey will only begin after we follow the main route to Umbul Waru. The only available roads are rocky ground, up and down hills, meandering among vast fields. To get to the beach, we have to climb the ridge with assisted rope.
The beach is arguably quite narrow compared to Pangi beach and Tambak Rejo beach. Besides the narrow beaches and cliffs make visitors who play to this beach can not enjoy when the waves are tide. The west coast side is the main attraction of Umbul Waru. Because that's where there's a waterfall with a height of ± 30 meters. But the waterfall was not able to be enjoyed when the tidal wave, because the waves on this beach is really big when compared to other beaches in southern Blitar.
It is advisable to come to Umbul Waru beach when the waves are receding, in order to enjoy the waterfall. In addition, when visiting this beach make sure to bring lunch, because the location is quite far from residential population. If the waves are pairs do not force to see the waterfall from below, because it is really dangerous.
You will park the vehicle on the main roadside and have to walk past the sugarcane garden. In addition you need tracking to follow the cliff is quite tiring. Make sure you are fit and healthy. Remember, do not leave any garbage in this place and be congratulated.
The beach is white sandy brown and very clean. Canyoning or waterfall activities can be done for fans of adrenaline challengers. For canyoning, rock climbing equipment should be carried by themselves. Because this beach still very minimal facilities and transportation.
