I sat down on my bed, staring at the cuts on the side. Maere and I made them with our swords. We never told anyone about it, so what they don't know can't hurt them, right? "Look who finally decided to come to her dorm." Maere said sleepily. "Hello to you too." I said with a small laugh. "Before I forget, can I copy your history homework?" she asked me, giving my puppy eyes. "Sure, I mean, I won't be in class tomorrow anyways." I replied.
"Why not?" the ginger girl asked, sitting up. "I have to walk around with the new kids all day with Hic." I explained. "Better than maths with Barieu." Maere told me. "You're right." I smiled. "Speaking of which...I have to send Hic a voice message. Irene forgot to tell him about the whole 'show the new kids around'." I said. "Of course she did." Maere said, shaking her head.
I formed a small, silver ball in my hand and began to speak. "Hey Hic, it's me, Kathy. Just so you know, we are supposed to walk around with the new kids all day tomorrow. Irene forgot to tell you. So...yeah, meet me in Fairy Godmother's office tomorrow at eight sharp. Goodnight guys!" I said to the silver ball. I then grabbed a pen and wrote 'Hiccup Horrendous Haddock IV' on the globe. It flew out the window with the soft sound of bells.
"What time is it?" I asked Maere. She checked her phone. "One thirty in the morning." she mumbled. I changed into my pyjamas and climbed into bed. "Aren't you taking a shower?" Maere asked me disgusted. "First of, it's way past curfew and we're supposed to be asleep. Secondly, they turn off the hot water at twelve. It won't be on until six o'clock that they turn it on again." I told her. "Right...forgot about that." she said. "Night Mae." I stated, turning off the lights. "Night Kathy." she replied sleepily.
-SEVEN THIRTY IN THE MORNING-
The mornings at Auradon Prep weren't exactly what one would call 'amazing'. Everyone was having breakfast in the noisy dining hall. Luckily, I had my magic. Every morning I would summon some breakfast with a simply flick of my wrist for Maere and myself. It was a lot calmer to eat breakfast in your own dorm than to eat it with tons of other teens. "So, why are you and Hic showing the newbies around?" Maere asked me, her mouth stuffed with bacon. "I don't know. All I know is that I have to help them." I explained. "Aren't you supposed to meet Hic in half an hour?" she questioned. "Oh, no! I totally forgot!" I yelled, getting up from my bed. I ran to the bathroom and jumped in the shower. I then grabbed some clothes from my wardrobe and got dressed. "You might want to brush your teeth. Your breath smells like toast and jam." Maere warned me. I ran into the bathroom and grabbed my toothbrush. I brushed my teeth and combed my hair.
"How do I look?" I asked my roommate, twirling around. I wore my grey pants and a scarlet red sweater.
"Like a hot mess. Isn't that your to-go-look?" she replied teasingly. "Ha ha." I sarcastically told her. I put on my black sneakers and grabbed my lion backpack.
