Chapter 13

Ben let out a roar and ran forwards. Mal stopped him as queen, well, now princess Belle calmed down her husband. "Okay! Okay. Oh! We kinda got this all wrapped up." Mal said, laughing. Ben smiled lovingly at Mal, before lifting her up, making Mal squeal. The king put her down again. "Next time I'll rescue you, okay?" he proposed. "Yeah, let's not let there be a next time, okay?" Mal offered. I spotted Audrey, who was grabbing her throat. "Right..." I mumbled, making Carlos, Jay and Evie laugh. My hands glowed with a blue light and Audrey began screaming.

"Calm down, you bloody banshee. We got this all sorted out, and look! I didn't even break a nail!" I told her in my best girly voice, showing her my hand. She scrunged up her nose and I giggled, making me feel sick in my stomach. I walked back to my friends, who were staring at something. I followed their gaze and there was my dad, coming our way.

"Look, dad, I can explain." I began, glancing at my friends. "You won't have to." my dad said in a calm voice. "I know I shouln-Wait, what?" I asked. "You did what was right. And at first, I was going to disown you and ban you from Narnia..." he started. Aunt Lucy coughed. "But...then Edmund explained to me that you'll never be exactly like me and that I should accept that. So after he told me that, I saw that you did what a true high queen should do." my dad told me. I gave him a quizzical look. "Choose your loved ones over your own safety." he clarified. "Thanks, dad." I said, smiling. "Now, how about we get to know your new friends a bit better?" uncle Ed questioned, looking at Carlos, Evie and Jay. I quietly walked off, making my way towards Jane.

"Jane!" I yelled. She spun around, as did her mother. "Look, I'm sorry that I pre-judged you all this time and I was wondering if, maybe, we could be friends?" I asked her in a calm tone. "Me? Friends with the high princess?!" she hyperventilated. "You don't have to." I told her real quick. "I would love to!" Jane exclaimed, hugging me tightly. "So, I'll see you around?" I wondered. "You bet." she replied as I walked back to my friends.

I stood beside Ben, who slung his arm around my shoulder. I did the same to him, smiling at the five of them. "Well, let's get this party started." Jay smirked, making me laugh. "Ohayohay, hey!" we exclaimed in unison.

-BACK AT THE SCHOOL-

Everyone was outside dancing underneath the firework lit sky. Mal and Evie began to sing as a couple of guys carried Ben across the field.

Ben sang, smiling at everyone. I was sitting on a bench, not really enjoying dancing, nor having a partner. I saw Jane dancing with Hiccup, making me laugh.

Mal danced with Ben, clapping her hands as everyone sang:
