It was the next day and as soon as I left my room, I almost bumped into someone carrying a bunch of flowers.
"What's happening?" I asked groggily. Trying to sleep with Ariel pacing around the room and falling asleep crying wasn't exactly comforting.
"They are getting ready for the wedding tonight," Eaton said from behind me, making me jump.
"Oh right," I responded thickly. How in the world was I going to stop this?
"Do you agree with this Eaton?" I asked him. He thought about it for a moment before answering.
"No not really. His love for Vanessa seems much different than when he was falling for Ariel. It's definitely not as passionate."
"Then help me stop it?" I offered. He looked at me like I was crazy.
"You want me to help you crash my cousin's wedding?" he asked.
"Yep," I replied, popping the 'p.' "Come one Eaton. This isn't fair to Ariel. She loves him."
"But that doesn't matter. You can't break up two people who are in love just because your friends likes him too."
"They just met yesterday," I grumbled.
"Eric said that he fell in love with her when she saved him from drowning," Eaton shrugged.
"That's because he's mistaken her for Ariel," I argued.
"If that were true, how would you know that?" he asked suspiciously. "Ariel can't even talk."
He was right. How was I supposed to explain myself to him if Ariel couldn't even support me?
"Ugh never mind. Forget I even asked," I finally ended. "And don't tell Eric what I asked you."
Leaving him shocked with my threat, I slammed my door behind me. Ariel was probably having breakfast with the new couple, sulking.
"You seem to be in a predicament," a familiar voice said from my bed. I looked up to see Aldus and immediately went into rage mode.
"You!" I screamed. "Where in the world have you been?! Shouldn't you be helping me with this?!"
"That's not my job," he sighed. "Although if I had you wouldn't have let the other princesses been captured."
"Hey old man! I don't see you getting off your butt and trying!"
He wasn't even fazed with my disrespect. Right now I was just raging mad!
"I bet you wouldn't be angry at me if you heard about Eaton," he muttered, but not low enough.
"And what did Eaton do?!" I asked. "How could it be any worse than what you did?"
"He remembers," Aldus accidentally revealed, covering his mouth like he was a 5 year old that just told on someone.
I whipped my head at him in astonishment.
"What do you mean he remembers?!" I screeched.
"He was given his memories back," he responded simply.
"But that set back the whole story last time," I sputtered.
"It's Morgana. She would have never let that happen again. Any spell could have prevented that from happening again."
"Great," I hissed. "I have someone else to yell at now."
Opening the door, I stomped through the castle until I found the familiar green-eyed man and pushed him into the closest room, which thankfully happened to be another bedroom and not something awkward like a closet.
"Hunter," I hissed. "Are you kidding me?!"
He already knew what I was mad about without me saying another word. Hunter didn't even pretend he didn't know.
"So I guess that conversation before I almost died in Cinderella was all lies too," I said bitterly.
"I may have lied before, but none of that was a lie," he promised. However, I just rolled my eyes.
"When did you find out?" I interrogated.
"At the market, just after you left," he answered, avoiding my eyes.
"Wait...you went on a date with me even after you knew?!" I asked. "Oh my goodness. Not only are you a liar but you actually tried to seduce me."
"What?! No Mina," he argued. "I'd never do that. Those feelings as Eaton were genuine."
"I don't believe a word that you say anymore," I snorted. "You're working with your mom anyways. I should've seen this coming."
"How many times do I have to tell you that I'm on your side?"
"Then why did you stand there while Morgana was draining my life out of me?" I accused.
"Because I knew that Ella had already been recognized by Charming. Mina, I knew that you wouldn't die and you would just go to the next world. Since I knew you were safe, I acted like I wouldn't save you to fool my mom."
"Like I said, I don't believe you. And that doesn't explain why you still pretended to like me when you got your memories back."
"And I already explained it to you Mina. Those feelings were genuine as Eaton and Hunter. I was feeling something for you and that's why Morgana broke the spell, but it didn't change the way I feel about both you and her."
Right now, my head was just spinning. I clenched my fist as pain filled my head and stumbled out of the room, slamming the door in Hunter's face. Right now, I just needed to think by myself.
