Part 28

ava's pov

logan arrived shortly after i started making the grilled cheese. after a while zach ended up remembering logan. we all ate in silence until zach says

"so are you guys a thing?"

"no" both logan and i reply at once

"were just friends" i say

even though in my head i didn't want to be just friends. i still will never get over zach but i may as well try, right? 

after watching a couple movies, it was 1. the guys and mrs. herron got back around the same time.

"hey logan. we didn't know you were coming by" jonah says a bit too jealous

"oh well i wanted to see how zach and ava were doing"

"alright. cool" jack says

we hang around and talk for a bit until logan needs to go home. logan asks me to walk him to his car so i do. when we get there he says

"you know what ava? i admire you. you are very strong. i know the whole zach thing is difficult for you right now but i had to say it. you know i'm here if you ever need to talk to someone or if you ever wanna hang out with a cool guy alone i'm here too" he winks and gets in his car

i melt when he says that. i turn around and go inside. i'm greeted by corbyn and he yanks me upstairs and sits me down on his bed. 

"you like logan?!"

"what? no. why would you think that?" i say

"omg you really like him"

"shut up. you're so loud"

"dude logan totally likes you too"

"no he doesn't"

"then why did he ask you to walk you to his car"

"so i could show him the way out?"

"he knows the way out. what did he say"

i tell bean what logan said and bean says

"omg he totally likes you. he said to hang out alone, which is basically a date. so do you like him?"

"i'm not sure. i feel butterflies in my stomach when i talk to him and i'm never going to be over zach. i mean he's gonna remember me soon"

"listen a i really think you should try logan out. zach may take months to remember you. you need to move on"

"thanks bean. you know what? i'm gonna text logan right now"

hey log

hey ava, how r u

i'm good just wanted to know something

what might that be

would you still want to hang out alone sometime

sure how about tomorrow at noon

sounds perfect see ya then

"HE SAID YES BEANNNNN. thank you so much for making me do this i love you" i hug him for a bit and we go downstairs.

(jonah's pov now)

yes i feel bad for eavesdropping on corbyn's and ava's whole convo about logan but i needed to know what's happening with them. i know i can't like ava and i won't tell her either. i've liked her since the first day we met. she has logan right now and she'll have zach once he remembers who she is. man she's one lucky girl. 

i hear their convo is over so i duck into my room so they don't know i was listening. i go into the shower acted like i needed one. i take my shower and get changed and head downstairs. everyone is just hanging out until we all decide to head to bed.
