Author's POV

"Am I dreaming or are you actually awake before me and Kimba?" Cheryl gasped as she walked into the kitchen and saw Jane sketching in her book at the island counter.  Jane lifted her head and tutted at Cheryl.

"Good Morning." Cheryl sang as she walked over to Jane's stool and kissed her cheek.  Jane smiled to herself and saw Cheryl waiting for her morning kiss. Jane kissed Cheryl's cheek, making Cheryl's dimples completely visible.

"Mock all you want, but this drawing is for you," Jane told Cheryl, causing the Geordie to smile.

"Oh, let me see what you have so far." Cheryl started to walk towards Jane, but the teen pulled the sketchbook away from her eyes and shielded her drawing.  Cheryl gasped, wanting to see what Jane is drawing for Kimberley.

"I don't want you to see until I'm done," Jane said and Cheryl held her hands up in defence and backed away.  The teen closed the sketchbook and watched Cheryl take out all of the breakfast ingredients for her wife.

"Where's Mum?" Jane asked Cheryl, not knowing why her mother isn't downstairs making their breakfast.  Usually, Kimberley is up way earlier than all of them anyway.

"She's on the phone," Cheryl said after shaking the thought of Jane using the 'M' word.  She's never heard the teen call Kimberley that and was just a little shocked.

"Oh, there you are," Kimberley said as she walked into the kitchen, almost on cue "I was looking for you." She told Jane as she walked over to her and kissed the teen's temple.  Jane smiled at the affection and put her sketchbook in the chair next to her, so Kimberley wouldn't notice and try to look through it.

"So, I was just on the phone with Aaron and he said that his woodland party is tonight," Kimberley said, causing Cheryl to gasp with excitement.

"Yay!" Cheryl clapped her hands and suddenly became very cheery.  Jane looked at the couple with confusion, not knowing who or what they're talking about.

"It starts at eight, so we should probably leave here at seven thirty because we always get lost," Kimberley informed Cheryl, completely forgetting about Jane having no idea what's happening.

"Ugh, I'm so excited!" Cheryl said, getting amped up for the fun night to come.

"Hi, uh, new to the family here.  Who is Aaron and what is a woodland party?" Jane asked, getting the couple's attention.  Cheryl and Kimberley giggled at Jane, knowing that the teen suddenly felt left out.

"Aaron is one of our dancers from when we were in the group.  Every year, he hosts this party and it's in the woods.  There's a bonfire, good food, music, all our old dancers always put on a show.  It's lots of fun, I promise." Cheryl told Jane as she got the plates out for the three of them.  Kimberley was finishing up the eggs and beans on toast as she listened to Cheryl talking to her daughter.

"I think that you'll love something like this," Kimberley said to Jane, making the teen smile, but not out of happiness.  Of course, Jane feels comfortable that Kimberley and Cheryl will be there, but she still gets a bit antsy over meeting new people.

"You finally get to meet all the girls then!  Oh, and you can meet Lily's daughter.  You two will get along so well, she's a year younger than you, but you'll love her." Cheryl excitedly said, but Jane wasn't sure if she wanted to meet this girl.  Whenever Jane feels pressured to meet someone, she gets too nervous.

"Jane, this is Cara, the girl I was telling you about," Karen said to Jane as she walked into the teen's room.  All day, Karen has been going on and on about this Cara girl and wants her and Jane to get along so badly.  Jane has just felt pressure all day and felt, even more, when Karen informed her that the two girls have to share a room.
