I woke up, staring at a white ceiling. I tiredly looked around, noticing the machines beeping around me.

Am I in a hospital?

I felt tired, exhausted, ready to close my eyes and go back to sleep when I thought of Hoseok.

I whipped up and pulled the curtain besides me. Hoseok was still asleep, and I slowly stood up from my bed. I walked over to him and carefully stuck my hand out to touch his head.

"Who are you?" A voice asked, startling me. I swift my head to the voice, my eyes widen in shock.

"I'm a sick person! You just don't scare a hospitalized person like that!" I stammered, feeling my cheeks burn red from embarrassment.

Can't believe I was startled from that.

The woman in front of me looked me up and down. "I said, who are you?" She asked again, staring straight at me.

I looked at Hoseok then back at her, clearing my throat first. "Who are you?" I countered back.

"I'm Soomin, who are you?"

"I'm Haerin, nice to meet you too." I crossed my arms.

"No, I mean, who the hell are you? Why are you touching Hope's head?" She furrowed her brows, curling up her fists. "Are you one of those drug dealers? Street fighters? Gang—",

"—hold it right there." I said, holding my hand out. "I'm his partner in crime. I'm his mission buddy, okay? Do I look like I fight in the streets? Do I looked like I do drugs—which disgusts me by the way. You think I'm in a gang? Honey, I'm 20 years old, escaping from my parents, trying to live my life and be a regular college student, but you think I do all that?"

She looked at me wide-eyed. "Whoa, you don't have to get all emo on me. I was just wondering who you were." She half laughed.

"Who are you anyways? And why'd you call him Hope?" I asked, crossing my arms again.

"I'm his girlfriend," she grinned widely.

My whole body froze and I didn't know the feeling instead of me that I felt right when she said that word, "girlfriend".

"Just kidding!" She laughed. "I'm a lesbian, I don't like Hope like that."

I breathed a sigh of relief, my eyes already welled with tears. "You were scared weren't you? Your heart was about to break wasn't it?" She taunted, giggling.

"Oh shut up," I rolled my eyes, biting onto my bottom lip. "Who are you really though?"

"I'm just a friend," she said. "We were friends since freshmen year in high school and yeah, I was his partner in crime sometimes too so don't feel special."

"I don't," I scoffed. "Did he, uh, wake up at all?"

"Yeah, he screamed out your name last night," she said, sitting down on the chair next to the bed.

"Really?" I grinned, my eyes lighting up.

"He was scared, but I guess he's fast asleep again." She said. "What happened back there?"

"It's a long story," I sighed, sitting down on my bed as I raked my hand through my tangled hair.

The door opened and Namjoon walked in. "How're you feeling?"

"Fine, thank you."

"Well, I plan to go back so I guess this is goodbye?" He said.

"But you just got here," I frowned.
