Katya was excited for her first day of teaching all over again. She loved the feeling of being in a class room surrounded by intrigued children wanting to learn and these children did. She'd kept a promise with Mr Wilson that she would look after the children and she intended to keep it.

None of the children messed around or caused chaos like some of them did at her old school. This class was good as gold. Today she taught them English langauge because they were fluent in Swedish and they were eager to learn more.

When the school day finished she dismissed the class and said that she'd see them next week as tomorrow was the weekend. In unison they said goodbye and left the room.

The hallway was heaving with students which she thought was strange seeing as it wasn't a very big school. Maybe it was because it was the end of the day and they were looking forward to the weekend.

As she squeezed through the pupils that were walking around excitedly talking to one an other she froze in her tracks. The little girl that she saw last night standing outside the house was now stood still in the corridor.
She wore the same white veil disguising her face and none of the other children seemed to notice her. She was staring at Katya as if she could see into her soul.

Over the loud noise of the students she heard a high pitched voice calling to her. It felt as if someone was speaking directly into her ear up close.

"Come home." The little girl pleaded.

Katya stared back at her in shock. All of a sudden a student bumped into her and knocked her sideways.

"Sorry Miss." A small boy said as he looked up at her.

"It's okay. Just watch where you're going." She looked back to where the little girl was standing but she was no longer there.

Katya raced home for four o'clock. Instead of going into her own house she went to the abandoned one instead. The little girl had followed her to the school and asked her to come home. What did that mean?

It was windy and the dark skies above indicated a storm was coming. Katya buttoned up her coat and headed to the house.

When she arrived she reached out her hand to open the door but it opened on its own as if it was expecting her. She stepped through the threshold and felt uneasy. The door slammed shut behind her.

She couldn't believe her eyes. The whole place would have been enveloped in darkness if it wasn't for the few hundred candles lighting up the house. It felt ice cold and smelt of a mixture of burning rubber and candle smoke.

The living room was the first room she went into. As soon as she stepped through black liquid dripped down the walls in large amounts. She looked around the room and noticed tons of maggots and other insects coming out of the floorboards. A low groaning sound came out of the fireplace followed by black masses of shadows in different shapes and sizes.
It was as if the house was alive.

Katya ran out of the room and into the kitchen. She heard the sound of a chain being dragged along the ground coming from behind her and she knew something was following her.
There was no way she was imagining this. It felt like a nightmare which had come true.

There weren't many candles in the kitchen so she couldn't see where she was going. She felt her way around the room and found a couple of chairs and a table. Something hissed in her ear as she felt long sharp nails grabbing at her hair. She screamed in fear and ran into a counter top. It winded her and she fell to the ground in pain.

She was cornered by something big towering over her.
It was tall and black with a thin deformed body. Two red eyes glared down at her as it extended an arm with bones for fingers. Katya shielded herself with her arms and began to cry.

The creature stroked her hands and the touch scorched her skin. She bit down on her lip and tried to hold in another scream. Her heart felt as if it was going to beat out of her chest.

"Stop." A small voice called out.

Katya didn't want to look but when she did she saw the little girl standing in front of her. The entity had disappeared. Had she demanded it to leave? Katya stared up at her and saw that she was holding a candle which illuminated parts of her face. The little girl turned around and drifted out of the room. Katya felt compelled to follow her so she did. Something about this girl felt familiar to her and even though she creeped Katya out she still wanted to find out what or who she was.

She couldn't believe what was happening to her. It was like she was in a horror movie. The little girl guided Katya to the wooden staircase. Underneath it was a door which she hadn't noticed before. The girl opened the door and stepped down into the darkness. Katya followed her and realised they were going down into a cellar.

At the bottom of the stairs was a small dirty and squalid room. Chains were hooked onto the walls and a plastic bucket was in the corner. It smelt foul and Katya covered her nose with her hand. Then it hit her. This was the cellar that she had dreamed about the other day. The little girl stood in the centre and held the candle up closer to her face.

Katya's insides turned to ice and she couldn't breathe.
