I sat up and yawned then got out of bed. I walked sluggishly to the bathroom to freshen up. After showering and brushing my teeth, I pulled on a pair of black skinny jeans, a white sweater and black combat boots.
I grabbed my school bag and headed downstairs. I entered the kitchen to see my mom standing at the stove making breakfast.
"Morning mom," I said.
She smiled at me. "Morning sweetie."
I placed my bag at the foot of my chair at the table. Jephaniah and Zephaniah were talking about whatever twelve-year-olds spoke about. Mary, my five-year-old sister was eating fruits. Jamie, my three-year-old brother was on the floor making a mess of himself with rice porridge and Josephine was in her High chair eating her hand and talking gibberish. Low and behold, the noisy set was back.
"Hey mom, when did you guys come back?" I questioned.
"Oh, late last night."
"Did dad get a breakthrough with the case?"
She looked at me with a smile then nodded before she gave the stove her attention again. My family was very rich. Dad was the CEO of Stephens Enterprises and he was also an FBI Agent.
He inherited the company from our grandfather but he always wanted to be an FBI Agent. He did it as a part-time job, while mom was the CEO of Vogue, a fashion company that made their clothes, perfume and footwear.
Jackie was a model there, mom has been trying to get me to model her clothes for her company but because of my insecurities, I couldn't find it in myself to do it. Mom has been trying to change me ever since Jackie told her I was getting bullied.
