Chapter 2

Abigail's POV

I couldn't control myself anymore. His plane got here at 10 and he should be here with me in about 20 minutes. Matthew kept texting me, counting down the minutes until he arrived. I had to admit that was really cute.

I ran out my room and into the kitchen quickly making myself a snack. I decided on some strawberries and a banana. I ran to my room and took probably the fastest shower ever.

I checked my phone and I had 4 messages from Matt.

Matt: 15 minutes!

Matt: 10 minutes!

Matt: 5 minutes!

Matt: ARE YOU AS READY AS I AM? OR NAWWW?

I laughed to myself and finished getting ready. I picked out a pair of black and grey sweatpants with a cute floral shirt and topped it all off with a pair of red vans. Finally I put my hair in a bun.

I sat in my bed and waited for Matthew. I pulled my phone and got on twitter. Everyday was the same thing. I got hate for being Matthew's best friend. Then there was some of his fans defending me. I sighed silently to myself and put my phone away.

I had just sat down on the couch when the doorbell rang. I checked the time and it was 10:20. Yes! I ran to the door and swung the door open.

"MATT- wait your not Matt. You're the mailman." I said a little disappointed.

"Yeah sorry about that. Anyways here's your package." He gave me a smile then left.

I opened the package and saw a letter inside of it. It was anonymous and it read, "turn around." I turned around and saw a figure in the corner of the room.

I walked a little closer to it while whispering to myself, "what the-"

"ABIGAIL!" Matthew screamed right into my ear from behind which caused me to jump and scream.

"Matt! What was that for? You almost gave me a heart attack!" I said with a laugh.

"I'm sorry Abigail, I just wanted to surprise you. I guess I got more than what I expected." He explained. He was too adorable.

"It's okay Matt, I'm just glad your home safe. I missed you so much! So tell me about MAGCON, how was it?" I said really excited.

"Woah calm down. I just got here! Can I first get my hug? Then I'll tell you everything." I nodded and he pulled me in. It felt right to be in back in his arms. I took everything in his scent, the sound of his heartbeat. Everything was perfect.

"I see you two are already back to the way it was before." We pulled away and my mom was standing in the doorway with a smile plastered in her face. She always thought Matthew and I would one day be more than just friends. I just chuckled and said okay. She left us alone and went into her room.

"So tell me! How was it?" He playfully rolled his eyes and took my hand in his and led me to the kitchen.

"I'll tell you everything but first, I'm hungry what's there to eat?" He said searching through the pantry. "You know what, why don't we go get something to eat? Hey! Why don't you call Stephanie and Jennifer and I'll call Cam and Nash over? Then we'll all go out and eat somewhere." I nodded and pulled my phone out.

"Hey Stephanie! Do you think you and Jennifer can come over? Matt is calling Cam and Nash so we could all go eat together and catch up?" Stephanie and Jennifer were my other best friends. While Matt was gone they were there for me. Also Stephanie and Jennifer are like second cousins or something like that.

"Yeah sure at what time?"

"Hey Matt like at what time?" He looked at his watch and said at 11:30.

"Hey, he said at 11:30."

"Alright that gives us time to get ready. I'll see you all in a bit!" We said our goodbyes and hung up the phone.

"The girls said they could come. What'd the guys say?" I asked Matt as we sat on the couch.

"They said that's cool. Hey, is it cool if I go shower real quick? I'm kinda sweaty." I nodded and let him use the one that was in my room.

Since it was 10:37 I decided to take a little nap. I'll wake up at 11 to fix my hair and maybe change. I laid down and had a hard time falling asleep. After a while I felt the bed dip and an arm wrap around my waist. I fell asleep instantly.
