Chapter 12

Abigail's POV-

"No you stop it." I try to block out the noise. It's probably the guys being guys. "No you. I already told you." That sounded a lot like Matt. I get up and see that it's 7 am. What is he doing up so early? I turn around and face him and his eyes are closed shut.

"Abigail why do you do these things to me?" I try to contain my laugh as I see Matt sleep talk. "Abigail stop. Babe, stop." I wonder what he's dreaming about that's making him smile and giggle my name.

I grab my phone and start recording him. I put the camera close enough so that I can hear him. I finish recording him to have proof and head to my bathroom. I lock the door and wash my face, and brush my teeth. I brush my hair and put it up. Looking into the mirror, down my outfit, shorts and a white workout shirt. I shrug it off and walk back into my room. I find Matt still asleep and decide to go for a quick run, I grab my phone, headphones and my running shoes and go into the living room to find my mom in the kitchen.

"Morning." I tell her as I put my shoes on.

"Morning," she focuses her attention on me then looks up again, confused. "You are awake before noon? That's a shock."

"Ha ha ha. What you making?" I walk over to her and hug her.

"Making breakfast to go, for me." She smiles at me and looks down at my outfit. "You going for a run?" I nod and she hands me a banana.

"Thanks and yep I'm going for a run since nobody is awake besides us two." She nods agreeing with me and gives me a kiss on my forehead. I start heading out to the door before she stops me.

"What time will you be back? I'm leaving a little before 8, is that enough time?"

"Yeah that's fine. I'm probably just going to go around the neighborhood."

"You have your phone just in case you need any of us right?" I nod and close the door behind me. I plug in my head phones and put them on. I turn my music on at full blast and start my run.

I pass by rows of houses until I reach the neighborhood park. I take a quick little break and sit down on one of the benches. I pull my headphones out and check the time, 7:27. 'I still got time.' I say to myself. I look around and see a couple of other people running as well. I see a guy about my age maybe a year younger start approaching me. I stay seated down when he sits down next to me, close.

"Hello, I'm Nathan." He smiles at me as he takes off his sunglasses and headphones. His eyes are a shade of green that I've never seen before.

"Hi, I'm Abigail." I smile back at him.

"What a beautiful name, Abigail." He smiles again at me and I start to wonder how old he really is, instead of how old he looks.

"Thank you, yours as well." He smiles at me and looks down. I just sit there awkwardly.

"So do you live around here?" He asks breaking the silence.

"Yes, do you?" He nods.

"I actually just moved here about a week or two ago. So I'm still new I guess you can say."

"Oh okay well, welcome to the neighborhood." He laughs and I laugh as well. "Well it was nice meeting you Nathan."

"Oh your leaving already?" He checks his phone and looks back at me.

"Yes I have to go now." I smile and start putting on my headphones.

"Oh okay. I hope you don't think I'm some sort of pedophile." He looks down and I smile at him. "This is probably going to sound really weird but can I have your number?" I look at him with big eyes and he laughs. "Don't worry I'm 16 just in case you were wondering."
