I didn't know what we were doing.

For some unfathomable reason, Sean's phone ended up with Dexter. The brothers began to talk to each other in hushed voices, completely ignoring me and Sienna. Ever since Sienna saw Dexter, her mood kind of dropped. Guilt was all over her face and she refused to make eye contact with anything living. I did not know why she is taking things so harshly on herself. Apparently, Aldridge asked her to stay as Sean's security and this happened without Dexter's notice. I don't see why this must be a big deal considering that Sean didn't want any news regarding him to end up with Dylan or his brother.

Dylan...

This man is Dylan's husband, isn't he?

I looked at Dexter. His beauty was otherworldly. My eyes don't get stuck on him like they do when they look at Sean - but he really is a man to fight for. He had an aura of authority and also a kind of chilled out attitude which will not intimidate you. But something about him makes me feel he can be real bad if he wants to. Maybe that is why Sienna is worried about facing him.

What I really do not understand at this point is - Why are we sitting here doing absolutely nothing?

We were on the massive bed in the room, sitting in a circle while Sean's phone was in the center. We were like a group of friends discussing spooky stories. The only change was that the ones discussing here are only Mr. Surly and his brother. I wondered how Dexter got hold of Sean's phone. By looking at it, I can say it had seen better days. In fact, we should start the funeral preparations already. I wanted to burst out crying at the way the phone is breathing its last. Mr. McCarty is not even concerned about it. They were more concerned about the trigger and how they knew where we lived. How they managed to blast the wall off and bleh bleh. For once, I wished they'd bother to tell me about these hunters. Its not like I will go screaming to tell every body in the world about them. I know how to keep few secrets.

"Do we have beers here?"

My question startled both of them. They stopped their heated talk and turned to look at me.

"I'm sure the hotel staff can arrange for it" Dexter said.

Sean interrupted, "She is not drinking. You can't handle her if she does."

"I can handle myself, Sir. Can you get me a beer, Dexter?" I smiled sweetly at Sean's brother.

"You didn't hear what I said? No"

"You didn't hear what I said?" I glared back at Sean, "Yes. A beer"

Dexter chuckled, "One beer won't do any harm. One only, okay?" He winked at me.

"Okay!" I said cheerfully.

Sean rolled his eyes at his brother and ignored my smug expression. If they were not going to tell me what the whole fuss is about, it is only fair that they let me have beer for company. Sienna got sucked into a vacuum and she wasn't uttering a single word. I thought she was not even breathing until I saw her bat her lashes once. I don't know what's the issue. Dexter didn't know about Sean...So?

"You alright, Sienna?" I shook her a little harder to gain her attention.

"No" She spoke the truth.

"Dexter is a cool guy. He won't mind that you kept this piece of information from him"

She wrinkled her nose and shook her head, "You don't know, Sasha. It is not how it works"

"How does it work then? Wait!" I turned to Dexter, "Dexter, can you get another beer for Sienna too?"

Sienna jumped beside me like she just got touched by a zombie or something. Her eyes grew wide with fear and she was almost into tears.
