Just In Time

AUTHOR'S NOTE:
I decided to create this story because this idea just popped into my head. It seemed interesting and different then what I've read on here. I want to note that my ideas just come to my head. If anything is similar or matches another author's, it was purely by coincidence. I do not plagiarize or steal anybody's work because I know how hard they work to come up with these ideas. I'm truly sorry if any ideas match. I don't mean them to. If they do, please do not be mean about it. I hope you all enjoy the book and I'm sorry yet again if any ideas are similar or match.

SNEAK PEEK:

It hit me like a ton of bricks. There he was, standing there. His tall stature was leaning against a brick wall. He was chatting on the phone with someone, obviously very frustrated. I could tell by the way his eyebrows furrowed together and he would bring his sleeve covered hand to his mouth. I could barely hear what they were saying, but it wasn't pleasant news. His voice became louder and raspier with every minute of the conversation. Finally, he frustratedly ended the call with a forceful press on the end button of his IPhone.

"That son of a bitch. I can't believe he would do this to me. Who does he think he is. He knows what's best for me? Ha!" His voice was laced with anger and sarcasm.

"Cmon Harry, go back to your hometown. Lessen your ego. Now I'm back here in this shitty dump, waiting for some random ass person, so my reputation isn't ruined. Blahblahblah." He was pacing back and forth, an angry habit he always had. That and pulling at his mop of dark brown curls. He swiftly turned to my direction and his emerald green eyes locked on my hazel eyes. I immediately took off, hoping he didn't recognize me.

"HEY!" I heard his voice. He was angry.

"HEY YOU! TURN AROUND! DIDN'T ANYBODY TEL--" He caught up to me and grabbed a hold of my arm, turning me around to face him.

"Oh my god." His jaw dropped in utter shock.

"Lila. Is that you?"
