She stood there. Shocked. Silent. I didn't know what to say to knock her out of her trance. Did I insult her? Did I make her feel offended? Was that too far? Too soon?

LILA'S POV:

"Wha-wha-what'd you ask? Sorry in a daze." He couldn't have said that. How could he have known? Glancing down at his hand, I saw the framed picture of Darcy and I.

"I asked you if this was your daughter."

Oh god Lila. Think of something fast.

"Daughter. What. Pshh. No! That's my cousin's daughter. She's a little cutie ain't she?" Good thinking Lila. I felt the pang of guilt hit me denying my own daughter, but I can't have Harry do what he do to me to Darcy. That would just kill me and provide me grounds on killing him if he ever did.

"Are you sure? Because you two look so alik--"

"Enough snooping around my desk! Let's just get on with why you're here!"

"Alright?" His face was twisted in a confused expression. His eyebrows were raised as if suspecting my lies. I hurriedly looked away and sat on my chair. He let out a sigh and just dropped the suspicions.

HARRY'S POV;

I knew she was lying. Her rushed and anticipated tone of voice. The fact she never makes eye contact. Averting the situation. She acts as if I never knew her.

She sat behind her desk, giving me the feeling of being a punished school boy with the principal about to suspend me. I didn't like that feeling. I grabbed my chair and started to walk behind her desk.

"What are you doing?"

"You'll see." I shot her a cheeky grin before placing my chair next to hers. By next to hers I mean in front of her. Our knees were slightly touching and I have to admit, she's never looked so good.

"What did you do that for?"

"I don't know. I just felt awkward sitting there. It was too formal."

"Okay then. Anyways, back on the topic of the note."

"Right. The note."

"Do you have it with you?"

"Yeah, hold on it's in my purse."

"Purse? You carry one now?"

"Yeah I do."

"Oh god. I remember when you told me you hated purses and you'll never carry one. I remember when I tried buying you that Coach purse for your birthday and you almost flipped out on me."

"You actually remember all that?" She flashed me a genuinely happy smile and I couldn't help the amount of memories flooding back.

"Of course! I did pay attention to you."

The crimson was creeping all over her cheeks and there was an obvious glint in her eyes, but with a snap of a finger, her serious expression returned.

"Back on the note. No more distractions." She let out a small laugh and I couldn't help, but notice the slight crinkle in her eyes when she smiled.

"Okay. So what about this note?"

LILA'S POV;

"My note is right-" I rummaged around my purse, pushing away all the stray contents that had no use at this moment. It took a good two minutes sifting through the dark abyss that is my purse to find the bright orange note.

"Here! Found it!" I held out the note for Harry to read, but he was too busy laughing to notice.

"Hey! Why are you laughing?"
