I do a little mini dance at that comment once he's turned around. He talks to the owner of the orphanage and smiles back at me. FINALLY! I'll be out of this awful place, at least I hope, which is something i haven't had in a while. I run up the stairs, at which I get yelled at by the owner. I find my phone ringing with a number on it that I'd never seen before. "Hello?" I say
"Hey Trinity! It's Logan!"
"How'd you get my number?" I ask.
"I got it from the owner. She really seems awful." He says.
"Tell me about it. Why are you calling me anyway?"
"Please don't scream, but I'm adopting you!"
I scream anyway. He probably expected that.
"Anyway, I'm coming to get you tomorrow after I move things around my apartment." He says.
"I-I..." I'm speechless.
"I take it as you're excited?"
I laugh. "Yeah. I've just been in and out of so many homes I just have a hard time trusting people."
"I'm so sorry." He says. "Anyway, you'd better get to packing cause I'm coming in the morning. Bye!"
"Bye!" I exclaim. I can't believe it. I'm getting adopted! He'll probably think I'm a freak for not being all over him because of my trust issues. I seemed so excited when I met him that he'll probably think I'm like that all the time. He doesn't know that I'm depressed. I'll just have to prepare myself to be taken back in two days. I pack all of my things and go downstairs to eat. I make a sandwich and sit down to eat it in the kitchen, which I hardly ever do.
The rest of the day passes and Trinity goes to sleep, happier than she's ever been in her life.
