Just then there was pounding on the front door. I got up and opened it. "Corbyn?" Why was he here? We hadn't talked to the boys in months, we hadn't even told them where we moved to. "Corbyn?" I ask again.
"I'm sorry." He mumbles.
"What are you sorry for? You didn't do anything."
"I-i Just feel really bad about you and Zach."
"He doesn't seem to care, so it doesn't matter. I don't care either. He treated me like shit and just walked away."
"I didn't know you felt that way. Come with me."
"To where? Why?"
He grabbed me by the arm and dragged me out the door. I get in his car and the drive is silent, wherever we're going. Corbyn was the mom of the group, all the other boys were making him do everything for them. He was the only responsible one. Not surprisingly, he drove to his house. We walk inside and no one seems to be there. "What are we here if no one else is?" I was really confused.
"Can a guy just hang out with his friend?"
I giggle. See? He's the mom. The mom that brings her big bag to the movies so you can smuggle healthy snacks in. We sit down on the couch and watch a movie. "YOU BITCH!" Zach yells.
"What did I ever do to you?" I scream back.
"You-you..."
"Can't think of anything, can you? That's because I DIDNT DO ANYTHING WRONG. You were the one who said I had issues!"
"Because you do! Being suicidal is an issue!"
"I'm not even depressed anymore!"
He just glares at me.
"You don't even understand what I went through! You just thought it was an 'issue' and blew it off!" I lunge at him. It took corbyn(aka mom) and jack to keep me back.
"Oh, you're just a girl. You can't do any damage!"
This made me so angry I kick jack and corbyn in the dick and ran at Zach. I punched him in the jaw and in the solar plexus(le belly). He collapsed onto the floor. Jack stands up and grabs my arm and pulls me to his room. "Why'd you do that?"
"Cause he's being an asshole, that's why! He doesn't understand what I was going through!"
"I'll talk to him and I'm sure corbyn will. You want to play video games?"
"OH HELL YEAH"
When we had first met we would always play halo and battlefield one together. I snuggle up next to him on the bed and play for a while. It had gotten dark outside when Logan texted me.
L- do you need me to pick you up?
T- no, I was thinking of spending the night
L- ok, just don't kill Zach
T- how'd you find that out
L- corbyn(look it's mom again)
T- not making any promises
L- mmmmmk
"Who was that?" Jack asks.
"Just Logan"
"Ok"
He seemed like he was suspicious of something.
"Im gonna go to the bathroom" I say, getting up from he bed.
I walk out of the bedroom to go to the bathroom down the hall since there wasn't one in jacks room. Zach stops me. "What do you want?" I ask.
"I'm really sorry about earlier, I shouldn't have said that."
"You're damn right you shouldn't have said that. Now get out of my way."
"What? I apologized, isn't that enough?"
"Sometimes apologizing isn't enough. You fucked up, Zach. Badly. Now I really have to pee, go away."
"Fine, but I won't forget that."
"Like I care" I mutter as I walk away. Once I'm done in the bathroom I go back to jacks room. "Wanna watch a movie?" He asks
"Sure. Just not a rom com, those are stupid"
"Well you're lucky I'm not Daniel."
I giggle. He puts on some obscure horror movie. I always laugh at horror movies. Call me insensitive if you want, but if you think about they really are funny. I mean, if there's someone broken into your house, don't go and say 'whose there?'. It's not like they're gonna say 'hello? I'm in the kitchen making a sandwich'. Halfway through there's a jump scare and my natural reaction is to grab something. I don't know if it's fortunate or unfortunate that that thing was jacks hand. I look up at him and he just smiles back at me. I was starting to get tired, so I laid my head on his shoulder. I kept hold of jacks hand as I fell asleep.
