Chapter 57: video failure

A few days later we all got into the car and headed to where the police were keeping Calum. "Hi we're here to bail Calum Hood out." I said smiling at the officer at the desk. "Only one of you can come to the back with me." He said smiling back and grabbing a set of keys. I turned around to see them all pointing at me. Ashton took Adelaide's carrier seat as I walked off with the officer. He took me to Calum's holding cell. "Ma'am I'm going to ask you to stay here. I've grabbed the wrong set of keys. There is an officer right there to ensure your safety." I nodded at him and leaned on the wall behind me as Calum laid there and slept. I reached into my purse and pulled out my phone. I went on to Twitter and started typing.

The officer that was sitting in here started to cough and Cal started to stir. I saw him yawn and sit up. I crossed my arms over my chest as his eyes scanned his surroundings, landing on me. "Liv I didn't think you'd come. I thought you'd let me rot in here." He said coming up the bars closest to me. "I would have if you weren't famous and if we didn't have kids. Our Babygirl misses you and I'm not letting our baby boy grow up without a father." I said looking down at my stomach. I walked closer to Calum and put my hand over his. He leaned his forehead on the bars and reached out to put his hand on my stomach. I put my forehead onto his and placed my other hand on top of the one he has on my stomach. I heard a snap and I looked over to see Ashton. "How'd you get back here Ash?" I said backing away from Calum, but still holding his hand. "Adelaide was crying for you so an officer brought us to you," he looked over at Calum "how you doing mate?" He said taking bug-a-boo out of the seat and handing her to me. Cal shrugged paying attention to Adi. "Hi baby girl!" Calum said holding her little hand. She reached out to him and we all frowned. "I'm sorry baby I can't take you right now. In a few seconds okay?" He said as we heard the jingle of keys. The officer finally came back holding up the keys to me. I smiled at him as he unlocked Calum's cell. I don't think I've ever seen Calum so happy to see us. Even happier than when we got back from vacation and the whole leaving Nia thing. He ran out and grabbed my face kissing me all over. He hugged me as I giggled at him. When he pulled away he immediately grabbed Adelaide. "Dada!" She said hugging his neck smiling. "Yes baby. Dada's here and I'm never drinking that much ever again and daddy never wants to lose mommy so I can't hurt her. So I'm going to clean up my act for Mummy and You and Uncle Mike and Uncle Ash and Uncle Lukey and Aunt Ang and Aunt Meli and all of daddy's fans. Because I don't want to hurt people anymore. I'm gonna be a lover not a fighter. And when you get big no boys! Not until you're thirty!" I laughed at him and pecked his lips again. I looked over to where Ashton was standing, but he was gone. "Or girls baby. You're allowed to date whoever you want no matter what gender because fuck genders." I said smiling at Calum.

When we got back home Calum took Adi to the park and we all went our separate ways. I went up to my room and on my desktop to edit. "What the hell?!" I yelled as the lights shut off. I heard thunder and then a flash of light outside my window. "Adelaide." I said running downstairs. "Guys is Calum back yet?" I asked as they were all lighting candles downstairs. They all shook their heads and continued with the candles. "I'm gonna go pick them up." I said grabbing my coat and keys.

I ran out to the car and started to drive down to the park. It was only about a 10 minutes drive which means a 15 minute walk. And they aren't walking in this shit.

When I got to the park there was no one there. "Calum! Adelaide!" I yelled running around. I ran into the trail and yelled for them again. Nothing. I went back to my car and started it. I pulled my phone out and called him.
"Babe where the hell are you I'm down at the park with the car?!"

"Adelaide and I are in the flower shop across the street. The lady was closing until I ran over to her and asked if we can sit under her cover above the door and she let us in instead."

"Okay I'm on my way." I hung up and drove over to the small shop. Me and Ashton's favorite place to take photos. I got to the front of the building and parked the car running to the door. The nice old lady, who's name was Petunia, let me in.

"Oh honey let me go get some towels. Come on little one lets go get some stuff for mommy." She picked Adi up and carried her off.
I looked at Calum and he just frowned at me.

"Baby your video. It's not going to go up in time because of me." He said lowering his head. I lifted his chin and and gave him a kiss.

"The power is out at home Cal. It's not your fault. Either way, I'd rather make sure you two are safe than worry about my video." I smiled at him as he rested his hands on my waist. "You're so wet." He chuckled and I laughed with him.

"Babe that sounded so wrong but it was right when you said it meaning soaked." He shook his head letting go of my waist when Petunia came back with Adi. "I'm making some tea right now for all of us. Oh! That reminds me, I grabbed you some clothes. They were my daughters, but she's gone now. You look about her size, might as well put them to good use." She handed the to me and put a hand on my cheek. "You look just like her." She said sweetly smiling at me. I changed right there I didn't care anymore. I sat on Calum's lap with Adi, as she brought the tea out. "Now it's fresh off the stove so be careful."

"Okay honey. You can keep those clothes and bring the baby around a lot she's a cutie pie."

"We will! See you later."
