You deserve
Comet trails caught and placed
on paper made of spiders web
To form simple but perfect words
That describe you
Because I'm sure
Nothing as perfect as you
Could come from a human being
You must be made of star dust
Which would explain why
You light my way in the dark
And with you I always feel lucky
It would explain
Why everyone's drawn to you
It would also explain why you chose me
Because I am the lonely half moon
Half waxing
Half waning
Only complete for a couple of days
Before losing it once again
But no night sky is complete with only the moon
So you come along and leave your shooting stars
And we create something beautiful
