When he came into my life
he was like a man to me
And slowly slowly he crept in
Like toxic into my blood stream.
He was so gentle, was he
The man in my life,
The way he would talk
When he wasn't worked up.
But when he was mad,
And boy that was often,
He would throw accusations
Like knifes into me.
And slowly slowly
He became less of a man;
When he left my life
He was like a boy to me.
