My heart is just a sack of blood
That beats faster each time you kiss me.
And my lungs are just bags of air
That tighten each time I see you.
And my stomach is just a pocket of stuff
That become 'butterflies' each time you hold me.
And my eyes are just balls of goo
That dilute each time you smile at me
My mouth is just a hole in my face
That stretches and bares teeth when you laugh.
And my palms are just canvases of worn skin
That slicken when they have to meet yours.
And my spine is just a rod of nerves
That shiver each time you talk to me.
