"Elizabeth... I've been meaning to talk to you..." Marcus came up to him.
"Yeah?"
"Did... you mean anything... when... you... kissed me?"
She went red. "As I remember it, you were the one who kissed me so no, I didn't mean anything."
"Oh." He looked a little disappointed and tried not to show it. "OK." He went away quietly.
She stared after him, frowning slightly. Had he wanted her to say yes?
