Joan carried the poor mouse into the school garden. "Marcus!" she called.
Marcus came out. "Hey gal!" he said, "What can I do for you?"
Marcus was the younger brother of John Terry and he loved gardening just like his brother! He soon took over the garden after John got a scholarship to a gardening school.
"I... have... an animal for you," Joan said. She held out the mouse to him.
"How did that happen!?" he asked.
"I don't know! I found it on the floor, all ripped apart," she replied.
"Belinda... must have been the school cat!" he thought but didn't think he would say.
"Can... you make a grave?" she asked hopefully.
"Yeah I will," he said taking the mouse carefully.
"Thanks," Joan said. She kissed the mouse goodbye and waved goodbye to Marcus. She suddenly blushed...
"Why do I like him?!" she thought to herself, "Why is he so special?"
