Finally the school day was over. I'm so close to graduation I can smell it. Me and Mellie both signed up for a Collegiate Academy Sophomore year. That means we'll graduate high school with an associate degree in a certain field.
I chose Pshycology while Mellie chose Law. I know my dad will be proud of me. He's always proud of me when it comes to my academic successes.
I walk down the hallway toward the front doors of the school. I look to the left to me to see Mellie and Fitz hugged up on the lockers.
I can't stop staring at them. He's giggling and kissing all over her face, openly, in front of people. Then it hits me like a ton of bricks. Mellie isn't mine, no matter how much I want her to be she's not mine. She's Fitz's.
My chest all of a sudden feels tight. I have to close my eyes to prevent myself from crying in the middle of the hallway like a crazy person. When I open them again Mellie is staring directly at me with a smirk on her face.
I just turn and walk away. She's not mine.
Narrarator POV:
Mellie watched as Olivia stormed out of the high school. She looked a little upset."Fitz. I have something to do. I'll catch you later okay." Fitz nodded and moved away from her but not before giving her a soft kiss on the lips.
"I love you Mell" He said to her. Mellie couldn't say it back. She just couldn't. She smiled at him, kissed his cheek then left out the doors.
She frantically looked around for Olivia. She spotted the girl walking on her normal walking route home.
"OLIVIA!" Mellie yelled running after her. Olivia didn't even bother turning around to face her she just kept walking. She started walking faster actually.
"Liv!" Mell finally caught up with her. She wrapped her arms around Liv's waist stopping the shorter girl from walking.
"Livvie? Sweetheart what's wrong?"
Olivia let out a labored breath.
"It's nothing. I'm fine."
Mellie of course didn't believe her. She turned Liv around in her arms so she could face her. She looked into Liv's big doe brown eyes.
"Baby, you're not fine."
Liv remained silent. She didn't want to tell Mellie what was bothering her. After minutes of not getting an answer Mellie pulled Liv back toward the school.
"Mellie what are you doing?" Mell was speed walking back toward the school. That was the last place Liv actually wanted to be.
"Your coming with me and you're going to tell me what's wrong with you." Mell led Liv to the car parking lot and stopped in front of Mellie's BMW.
"Get in." The taller girl ordered. Olivia sighed in defeat and got in the car.
***
Liv and Mellie sat on Mellie's living room couch cuddled up. Liv's head was resting on Mellie's chest. They were looking at bridesmaids and Liv couldn't stop laughing. It was her favorite movie.
Mellie laughed loving to hear Olivia's laugh. Her laugh was so adorable she could listen to it all day. She placed a soft kiss on top of Liv's head while running her hands through her long curly hair.
Liv looked up at Mellie. Her big blue eyes was staring at her with so much adoration it kinda scared Liv a bit.
"Are you ready to tell me what your problem was earlier, cutie?"
