Chapter 11: Two Minds Run Together

Olivia woke early the next morning with Mellie's hair covering her face. She blew her hair out of her mouth and moved the rest with her hand.

She sat up in the bed to see Mellie fast asleep snoring her life away with her hair going in all different directions.

She chuckled at the sight of her girlfriend. After taking time to snap a few pictures she finally decided to fix Mellie's hair.

Then she jumped out of bed and quietly got ready.

Olivia's POV:
I'm finally ready for my day out. I have to make sure Mellie doesn't know what's going on, that's what surprises are for anyway.

Before I leave I make sure to leave a small note explaining my absence and also I make sure Mellie is still asleep. Can't have her waking up when I'm about to leave. Then she'd want to come. I can't risk that.

I quietly leave the room making sure it's locked before I head down the hallway. I didn't take Mellie's car because I figured I'd walk to where I needed to go. Our hotel is right in front of the beach with a whole lot of shops and stores right close to each other.

I spot a jewelry store and head right toward it. This could be easier than I thought it would be.

The store employee is helping me with the perfect ring to buy.

"She doesn't like to be too flashy but she's still out there you know?" I try to explain to the girl who's name I think is Carla.

"Yes, we have a perfect selection right over here." She leads me toward all these beautiful engagement rings.

I spot one right away that I know Mellie would love. It was a cushion cut engagement ring encrusted with white diamonds.

"Let me see that one." I pointed out, not being able to take my eyes off of it. It's so beautiful. It's perfect for her.

Carla hands me the ring. I twirl it around in my finger just taking time to look at it. She'll definalty love this.

"This ones the one." I say to Carla a little excited, but I can't help it. I'll going to actually propose to the woman of my dreams. What's not to be excited about?

The ring is finally mine after buying it and all that jazz, now I can get the other things for my surprise. I can't help but think of Mellie right now.

It had been for a while going to three stores before finding the right ring. I'm a very dedicated girl after all.

Mellie drove through the streets. After getting Olivia's note that she went out, Mellie took this as a perfect opportunity to do what she had to do.

She figured since Olivia asked the big question she should surprise her by proposing. It's only fair after all.

She pulled up to another jewelry store after searching 3 already. What she didn't know is that Olivia left that same store about 10 minutes ago.

She walked into the store a little nervous she had to admit. She looked through all of rings they had on display. She wanted Olivia to have a unique ring. One of a kind.

Then one ring caught her attention. She gasped at the sight of it. It was defiantly Liv's ring.
