Y/n 's POV

He walked straight into a room that seemed to have a long line next to the door. I guess that was the audition room. Time to line up.

As I was humming the tune of the song I was going to sing, I realized that I had to sing in front of Lin. I must have been thinking out loud because people were staring at me. It scared me. They were just looking at me. I got nervous, but then I heard someone calling my name " Hello? Miss? Are you-" She reads her paper. "Y/N L/N?" "Yis" I squeaked . " I mean yes." "It's your turn to audition ma'am."

I walk into the room and it actually lead backstage. I then proceeded to step on the stage. I saw Jonathan Groff, and Lin. He was writing on a clip board and had a look of annoyance. Was the last audition that bad? In a few seconds, he lifted his eyes off of the clip board and the look of annoyance was wiped clean and replaced with a look of relief and delight. A grin slid onto his face and tried (though it didn't look convincing) to pretend that he didn't know me.

"Oh hello there, Stranger! I've never seen you before!" The auditorium filled up with giggles from me and Lin, Groff with a look of Confusion on his face. When Lin smiled, the corner of his eyes crinkled, which made you even more happy. "Let's start: what will you sing for us?"
"All of Me, by John Legend"
"Ooo, love song"
Jonathan whispered to himself. Lin nudged him. I blushed at the thought. Although I didn't believe love at first sight, this is definitely the beginning of a strong friendship. Is it just me or did I see Lin blush too?

{Tim, where are you?}

Lin and Jonathan's eyes both lit up during and after the song. A few minutes later, they reverted back to reality. "Psshh. I've heard better." Jonathan joked "Are you kidding!? She'd be a great Eliza!"
"Umm... guys... I'm right here."
They both stared at me like deers stare at headlights. "I mean *cough* we'll call you if you get the part."
"Oh! But you don't have my number-"
You just realized how you worded it. Is worded a word? This is me, Gaby btw Lin chuckles as your face burns up again. "Right, just, give it to me." "Like on my way out?" "No I meant, just jump off the stage, I'll catch you" Lin said "Are... you serious..?" You said in a concerned tone. "Yeah, I do it all the time! Jonathan over here catches me." "Well, okay then."
You held your breath as you jumped off the stage into his arms. You were laughing and crying when he caught you. "Aw, it's okay, Look! I didn't NOT catch you."
He says in a soft voice. You look up and see how close your faces were. You just stared at each other for a minute. Taking in all his features. Then you realized Jonathan was still there.

"Guys? Umm... Pretty long staring contest you're having there."

Both of you snapped back to reality, and let go of each other. Trying to avert your eyes from each other while both of your faces turned a dark tint of red. "Well, may I have your uhh... number now?" Lin says nervously. "S-sure." Lin picked up his clip board, and took a pen out of his pocket Haha, Pocket Lin Pen. Oh, if the writing is bold, that's me.

You wrote it down on the clip board. While writing it down, you feel Lin's stare. You slowly look up and give him a sheepish smile. As you were doing that, he tried to look away, pretending that he wasn't staring. You looked back down to write the rest of your number.

While walking home, you hear footsteps behind you. You spin around and see Lin running towards you. Then, the same patch of ice you slipped on made HIM slip. You were just in front of the ice so when he slipped, he threw both arms to his side and fell on you. Luckily, your coat was thick enough to break the fall, but that didn't stop Lin from falling on top of you. You broke each other's fall.

Lin was just hugging you for a long time. I broke the silence. "Hey, you okay?" Lin looked up from the hug with his intelligent eyes. He shakes his head yes. "You wanna get up?" He doesn't respond but just hugs you tighter.

Lin's POV
I made a fool out of myself and slipped on the same patch of ice that she slipped on. Before slipping, I spread my arms. When I slipped, I managed to hug y/n on the way down. We just laid there for an amount of time. I was still hugging her. I want to stay like this forever. In her beautiful voice, she said "Hey, you okay?" I look up and shake my head yes. Her scent smelt nice. It's relaxing. "You wanna get up?" She says. I hesitated but hugged her tighter. She hugs me back. After a little while, we both stood up, and I asked her " May I walk you home?" She smiles and nods.It was silent on the way there.

When we got there, I felt sad. I grabbed a frozen flower that some how survived in the winter and put it in her hair. "Wanna hang out tomorrow?" I say in the most nervous tone possible. She actually nods. I smiled back. "Can you pick me up at 12:00?"
"At night?" I say in a sarcastic tone. "No silly!" "Sure."
