Virgil X Reader: A Frozen Situation

Prompt: Anxiety x Reader AU. They're both colleagues somewhere and Virgil is keeping an eye on her while she does some tasks in the walk-in freezer. She's not fond of that fact because she hates that she's low-key falling for a sarcastic dick and she doesn't know that he's using sarcasm to calm his nervousness from low-key falling for her. They both end up locked in the freezer and no one else is there till the night shift. Although his chances of getting hypothermia are slower than her's due to his big hoodie, she keeps claiming she's fine. Due to new anxiousness of losing her, he tries to strike a conversation with her and she slowly gets surprised that there's some sincerity in there. The use of his sarcasm gets explained, he hands her his hoodie and tries to keep her awake and Logan unlocks the freezer to retrieve something and Virgil assists her out of the freezer, both kinda content with the ensued closeness.

Maybe he says something like "Stay awake for me, babe, Please. I can't lose you" without thinking as she grows more tired and sometime before Logan unlocks the freezer.

"Anything you want me to do sir?" Y/n asked tiredly, she didn't like this job. But she had to work around it anyway,

"Yes, Y/n can you restock the freezer? And let Virgil guard the door for you" The boss said while tending some other stuff,

"Fine" Y/n told Virgil his task at hand and they both walked to the freezer not saying anything while Virgil opened the code to the walk-in-freezer, Y/n walked in restocking the shelves while Virgil watched,

"You gonna help me?"

"Nah, That's not my job" Virgil smirked, Y/n hated that she is falling for him, he's just a massive douche.

"Ugh" Y/n went along restocking and fixing the freezer, She heard Virgil blow a raspberry behind her, She turned around to find Virgil just whistling facing the opposite direction of her.

"Dude, really?" Virgil nodded while smirking

"I hate you," Y/n said while Virgil looked taken back

"You love me" Virgil replied which made Y/n blush.

"I'm bored..."

"Well hey bored, I'm Y/n" Y/n smirked while she could see the fumes coming from Virgil.

"Fine Kiss, Marry, Fuck, Kill?"

"Sure why not"

"Me, my brothers (Thomas and Roman), and my dad" Virgil started

"Ok, Kiss your dad, Marry your bro Thomas, Fuck Roman, and Kill you," Y/n said very monotoned

"Girl."

"Yes, that is my gender" Y/n smiled innocently

  Virgil turned away just for a few seconds until he heard a loud thump from where you were, he turned around and saw that the whole shelf fell on top of you. Without thinking he ran over to help you up. He pulled the shelf up back to the wall and checked you for wounds.

"Are you ok?"

"Yes, yes I'm fine." *CLANK* Little did they knew the stone door closed them in and it was locked from the outside. It was at this moment Virgil knew He Fucked up.

"Shit."

"Call boss"

"Can't, no service."

"So we have to wait till next shift?"

"Yep."

"Ugh, I hate this so much" Y/n mumbled something after it,

"I'm sorry what did you say?"

"istillhateyou"

"Mmph?"

Y/n walked to the opposite end of the freezer, trying to push the door open.

"It'ssocold" Y/n shivered, Virgil had his jacket that he always wore, it was big and fluffy and warm so he wasn't that cold.

"Do you want to wear my sweater?"

"Nno, I'm fine"

Virgil was unsure of Y/n's answer but still wanted to talk to her anyway.

"So...About the FMKK game"

"Did you really meant it?"

(Alternative Pick up line fail: "It's getting a little hot in here" "Virgil, we are in a fu88ing freezer")

Virgil looked down, afraid of Y/n's reaction, WHY DID YOU HAVE TO BRING THAT UP?!

I DON'T KNOW!

A faint 'no' came from the other side of the freezer, Virgil looked up seeing Y/n's face hide into her hands even more than before.

"Why do you care??"

"Because. Because I have-"

"You have what? You already have everything so what do I have that you don't?"

"Your love!" Virgil yelled quickly,

Virgil's fear of rejection got over him before he realized that Y/n was getting colder by the second.

"Sgyt."

Virgil ran over to Y/n and wrapped her in his sweater,

"Stay awake for me, babe, Please. I can't lose you" Virgil said without thinking as she grows more tired,

Virgil was hugging her to provide some body heat,

Minutes to what felt like hours later the lock was being turned from the outside,

"Virgil, Y/n?" Logan's voice called out,

"Logan, Thank god"

Logan helped Virgil get Y/n out of the freezer and getting her back to body temperature.

"How long were you two in there?"

"I have no freezing clue"

Well that was a hella cold ride XD

Wattpad deleted the other chapter that was supposed to come out tonight so expect a couple parter tomorrow!
