Danny's P.O.V.
I opened my eyes to find myself in...a cave. I tried to phase through the bars, but they were made of ecto-ranium, meaning I couldn't get through. "Where am I?" I asked, scanning my surroundings.
"That's none of your concern." Somebody said from somewhere, though I couldn't place where.
"Walker?" I asked, I actually had some hope it was Walker, then I knew I had a slight chance of escaping. Unfortunately, it wasn't him.
A man in a bat costume walked out of the shadows, but I recognized him immediately. He was Batman. A member of the Justice League...but why was I behind bars.
"Not Walker..." Was all I managed to say as he glared at me. "I didn't do anything that bad, did I?" I frowned.
"I want to ask you a few questions." Bats frowned. I looked down. Great.
"Ask away..." I said, completely unamused.
"What exactly are you?" Was the first question.
"I'm a ghost. That's kind of a duh question." I raised an eyebrow. Batman simply nodded and moved onto the next question.
"How did you die?" He asked. I had to stop myself from fuming.
"You probably shouldn't ask a ghost that. Most of them will kill you. But because I'm feeling generous, I'll give you a brief one. I was electrocuted." I glared. Although, the first statement was true. Most ghosts will kill you if you asked them that, hence why I tended to avoid that. They already pretty much wanted me gone, but if I asked them that tiny little question, they'd probably be motivated enough to actually do it.
"Why do you stay in Amity Park?"
"Well...I guess it's to keep the people safe from the not-so-friendly ghosts there. I mean, I could go to the ghost zone but..." I frowned. This lying was starting to get harder.
"Ghost zone?"
"It's a place where ghosts go...they're supposed to stay there, but sometimes they don't." At least that one wasn't a total lie...
"Why don't you?"
"Like I said before, I keep the people safe from the non-friendly ghosts." I frowned.
"What is your full name?"
"Danny Phantom."
"Not your pen name, your real name."
"I don't know, I can't remember. All I remember is someone screaming Danny, and when I woke up I had snow white hair and glowing green eyes, and I could walk through walls, disappear and fly." I looked down. I was starting to get good at this. I tried to remember the stuff Jazz had taught me about how your behavior gave others clues to weather or not you were lying to them.
"What can you do?" Bats raised an eyebrow.
"Well, for starters, I can't phase through this cell..." I tried to stick my hand through, but it wouldn't work.
"I already know about your intangibility. I want to know what else."
"Well...I have an ice core, so I can do a lot of stuff with that..." I made a mini-ice-crystal in my hand. "Obviously, I can fly. I can go invisible, ecto-rays, ghostly wail, duplication, shields, you know, the basics. Some ghosts with fire cores have pyrokinesis. I have cyrokinesis though." I frowned.
"Ghostly wail?"
"Uh...yeah. It's more or less a replica of the scream I made when I died. It can do a lot of damage." My frown deepened.
"How do you explain this?" He lifted a picture of when Freakshow had had him under his control.
"Funny story...So, there's this stone that can control ghosts I guess...and a crazy ringmaster at a circus had it...and well...he sort of controlled me for a while until some human broke the stone..." I fiddled with my fingers slightly.
"Alright..." I don't know if he believed it or not, but I hoped he did, otherwise I might not get home...Wait...
"What time is it?" I asked suddenly.
"10:47. Why?" Bats raised an eyebrow under his mask.
"Uh...No reason in particular..." I frowned. Other than I am COMPLETELY missing my curfew. I'm going to be grounded forever! "Look, it's not that I hate answering questions, but can I go now? I really..." There was a loud crash.
"Where are you whelp! I want your pelt on my wall!" Announced a voice I knew all to well...Skulker.
"Oh you have got to be kidding me! I put you back in the ghost zone yesterday!" I stood up. "One day, that's all I ask, one day where you guys all leave me alone!" Batman had disappeared. I figured I was safe in here. If I couldn't get out, Skulker couldn't get in. I sat in the very middle, away from Skulker in all directions he could possibly come from.
"Don't think you can't hide, I know you're here Phantom! Come out and fight so I may hang your miserable head!" Skulkers voice echoed. How had Skulker even figure out where I am? I decided I would rather face him then be seen as a coward.
"I'm over here!" I rolled my eyes. Skulker came flying in the direction of my voice and frowned as he noticed the bars. "Hi!" I waved slightly from inside my imprisonment.
"Whelp! Prison again! What is your sentence this time! Another 10,000 years?" Skulker laughed.
"First of all, I was only in prison because I wanted my...stuff" I suddenly remembered the bat would probably be listening. "Why were you there?" I asked.
"I need not answer to you." Skulker sneered.
"Look, how about you hunt me some other time, okay? I'm stuck in here, and you can't come in here, and I can't go out there. So please?" I asked.
"Fine. But this is the only time." Skulker phased through the walls and was gone. I let out a sigh of relief. Batman jumped down onto the ground in front of him.
"Prison?" Bats glared.
"It was a complete misunderstanding. Besides, I served my time." About an hour or so... "And I learned my lesson." Also a lie, I would totally do it again. "And it was 10,000 years ago. I've had time to think." Yet another lie. Man, I was getting good at this! "So can I please go? I have stuff to do..."
"One thing. If you're 10,000 years old, how were you electrocuted?" Bats asked, brow raised.
"I don't know! I don't even remember much from 10,000 years ago!" I crossed my arms.
"If you were really 10,000 years old, electricity wouldn't have been invented." Batman sighed.
"Whose to say I wasn't struck by lightning? I really don't know, okay?" Danny sighed.
Not to mention the fact that English may not have existed. You seem like English is your first language, as you are perfectly capable of pronouncing every word correctly." He glared. It almost made me flinch. If it weren't for the fact that I'd seen a ghost pretty much made of meat, I probably would have.
"Fine, but you have to promise not to tell anyone, and you have to let me go too." I frowned.
"Deal, so long as I don't find the need to keep you locked up."
"Deal." I changed back to my normal human self, which felt good to be honest. I took a deep breath. "My name is Danny Fenton, and I never exactly...died." I frowned.
